The lack of greatness at Conner has nothing to do with football and wrestling coaches not supporting each others sport. It is the lack of having greatness surrounding students from the admin to the teachers to the coaches to the facility. My kids classroom was in a trailer...a flipping trailer! Standards is the answer..

I just spoke to Barb and she just got 20 more registrations from Ohio(hs age) looks like its gonna be a good one...and they were asking if certain kids from KY were coming...huh..wonder what that means?

How many coaches/parents knew that all wrestlers at elementary regionals/state has to have a USA card to wrestle at those events?

Stan your right not that "yelling" or calling out teams is the way to handle it....I do not know any highschool coaches who also coach youth in Nky....I did not say they coached I said they were busy... And to the rest of your comments..WOW

I am from Nky and was very disappointed that they scheduled youth regional on the same day as highschool and as they found all highschool coaches were busy and could not get a gym and now our regional was moved to Sunday. I have a child in all three divisions...youth,middle and highschool and to plan an event for this sport on the same day would be like doing highschool and middle on the same day. It only creates exclusion,whether with wrestlers or coaches you really can't do one without the other. I am not opposed to moving the date but I do not agree on doing it the same time as the other two divisions.

I am not a fan of this decision either....its going to be a mad house. All highschool checking out on Sunday morning and little bittys coming in. I really do not like it on a Sunday. Growing the way youth has over the last 3 years says its getting alot of attention already. I agree I think your going to have more people say NO then yes.

Its true...and there is alot of reasons....to a point I understand them....I would love to shout out all of them,,,,scream them would be great....it is a very exhausting battle.....but our wrestling program needs a change.....we need someone who is willing to NOT knock on doors but kick down doors.....who is going to not take NO for an answer....who is not gonna settle......who will fight until the battle is won!! I think eventually we will be heard...hopefully its before everyone packs up and moves on

I have to say its true at Conner about the football program not supporting the Wrestling Program. It was put out as..."I will not say you can not but I will not support it if you wrestle" With the youth program coming along.....half of there squad play on the same team in BCFL...sooo something will have to give eventually if they stick with it. It is a VERY VERY frustrating situation!!

When I spoke to Barb earlier for my little one she said that some of the highschool brackets were already full.....that the younger ones were coming in at a slower rate. Looks like the high school kids will be there in numbers.
