I am gonna catch a lot of flack for this and I know it has been discussed, but to me if you make the choice to wrestle in high school you should not be eligible to wrestle in middle school again or the state tourney. Same goes for elementary school kids wrestling up. What really is gained other than some hardware for doing this? Maybe someone can convince me I am wrong and I will buy it. 5 match limit rule has got to go or they have to make this a two day event.

The chicken wing in the Region 2 - 70 lb match did not go past 90... Moving on, I think a tap out should mean the end of the match period. I have seen it abused by kids that just don't want to get pinned way too many times. The intention of the rule is good but it is abused by kids and coaches looking to beat the system.

Cosby from Anderson is very good and I believe he is only in 7th grade. Going to be a fun state final but I still think the heavy from Larue Co. is the one to beat.

For a first year wrestler keep an eye on the Fern Creek heavy. He has been real close in some of his losses. Physically he is a beast but he lacks experience. He will not go unnoticed. If I were to pick I would say Parker from East Oldham or the kid from Larue Co. are the two to beat. But I could be wrong....
