    Time to say goodbye

Brandon, you'll be sorely missed. All the countless conversations about wrestling and dealing with our boys over the years. Man thanks for the support/interest in Logan and myself over the years and lending an ear/offering advise. You've been a great friend. I've really enjoyed watching Mason grow/mature. You guys have done a fantastic job. What a pleasure it was watching Mason get his well deserved State Championship. All the hard work...it paid off. Hopefully you can come back and visit from time to time. Hell maybe we will come down to see you. I expect you to stay in touch. Best of luck. We will definitely make it to the Shindig:)

    State Pics

Lets get it started. I don't want to upset anyone because Lord knows there's some great talent in every weight class. And I have not seen a lot of the state this year. 106: Brendan Pye, SCOT Thoroughly impressed with this kid. Physic and Athleticism off the chain. 113: Adam Bender, WOOD Been watching this kid for years. Very strong and had paid his dues. 120: Brady Wells, Camp Co I believe Yost has already won one. I hear Insko is the real deal though. I just think Brady is huge for the weight class and has been in the finals. Experience wins it. 126: Ryan Moore, WV A lot of talent in this class. Ryan has a motor and is tough under pressure. 132: Saul Ervin, UNIO Beast 138: Bryce Sheffer UNIO Im not counting Trent out. I think he has the ability to win it. Bryce has the experience in big matches. I think Bryce edges him on the mat. Feet, theyre about even. Trent better finish his shots or it could get ugly. 145: Joey or chance It's a toss up. Cant decide. Both very tough 152: Cody Huston COOPER Cody is solid through and through. Zane is the man. Fireworks in the finals. 160: Mason Smith WALTON Time to get paid. Blanton has been wrestling for what? 20 years. lol! Should be a fantastic Semis. Blanton is capable though. 170: Casey Cornett SK Casey's going to be a 2xr 185 Max Andreoni, WOOD Great kid. Finally gets one. 195: Dont know enough to give an educated opinion. 220: Dont know enough to give an educated opinion. 285: Dont know enough to give an educated opinion.

    Region 6 Team Race

My thoughts on the region 6 tournament. Standouts. 106 Pye: I see a kid that has the physic and athleticism to be a state champ. He thoroughly impressed me. I will be following him closely at state. 120: very even match with Wells and Roth. Roth has the potential to get to the finals. Wells looks to be ready to cash in as well and finally win a state championship. 126: Moore & yenter: both very even. I saw a takedown and near fall not called. Want to see this match up again. 145: noah duke: impressed. He reminds me of another talented middle schooler who won a regional championship. Though I thought 145 was quite week in this region. I will be anxious to see if he can handle the pressure of the hs state atmosphere. Can the young gun place when the pressure is on. 152: cody huston: haven't seen a more sound wrestler technically than him this year in any weight class. Brown and smallwood better bring it at state. 160: masons a beast. Can't wait to see him dominate at state. 170: cornett: congrats to Casey. I think he's a 2 timer.

    Cody Huston-University of the Cumberlands

So proud of Cody Huston. Now go get that title!
  17. Barring injury, Mason Smith gets his first HS Championship.
  18. 152 is interesting with Smallwood, Cody & Zane. Going to be strange seeing Zane at that weight. Must really have grown in the off season.
  19. Also, 170 is very intriguing. Would love to see Casey & Geordan match up. Geordan's athleticism/speed could give Casey fits.
  20. 145 looks to be toughest most competitive weight class with Trent, Dallas, Nathaniel, Joey, Jared, Brandon & Chance. I predicting Chance Oxford finishes top 4. Trent in my opinion wins it but all these guys are very capable. Can't wait to see this weight class compete this year.

Coach Carr should be posting information concerning this. I believe you have to be a state finalist or top 4 placement in a qualifying event.
