Well...3 of the top 4 at 75lbs are on the same side of the bracket. Good luck to them. Colin you got a strong chance at the finals. Go get it!

Bidner-Fern Creek-One of the favorites Scaggs-Turkeyfoot-One of the favorites as well Austin-Gray-Pretty solid Hill-Twenhofel-This kid might be able to do something. He wrestled mostly at 75 lbs this year. He really in my opinion under acheived at Regionals.

Derek's an extremely nice kid and his father is a class act. And I'm not a part of the Conner wrestling family. My son wants a singlet for finals matches as well. I don't have a problem with it, but his coach won't allow it. From the kids point of view, it's not cocky...they just want to wear a cool looking singlet. He may at first come across as cocky but I've found he's actually sort of shy until he gets to know you.

There is a Pin2Win but he wasn't commenting on the 70lbs class. And no...not related.

If memory serves me right, he won by 2. I don't recall a penalty point, but I'll take your word for it. That's a point. I didn't say he would win it, but that he has the ability to win. I know both wrestlers personally and have no preference of one over the other. Scaggs probaby has a better shot than Austin, but on a great day he could make a run at it. Bidner and Burroughs as well. I will enjoy watching this weight class. Should be highly entertaining.

    State Champ Predictions

Austin has beat Scaggs this year. They've wrestled 3 times with Scaggs winning 2 of them. Austin is very capable of winning state, and so is Scaggs and Bidner. Whoever shows up most focused will win it. Make no mistake...Nick is very capable of winning it.

HardWork-Just curious. You said you thought "Wiley and Erdman were studs in this bunch of studs", but later you don't have Erdman in any of your senarios. I'm just curious as to why. Erdman (5th grader also) has beat Goshorn 3 out of 4 times. By the way...I agree I also think they are all capable of winning it.

    results from state duals

Interesting Fauz wrestled at 89. Hines is very physical and tough. Not surprised of the outcome.

Glad you asked. Two kids from Northern KY are very very tough. Joey Scaggs (Turkeyfoot Middle) and Nick Austin (Gray Middle). Burroughs (Fern Creek) definately the favorite, but the two boys from Northern KY can knock him off if he's not at the top of his game.

Technically the refererance to Wiley and Nelson as Placing 3rd and 4th respectively is not accurate. In fairness to both kids, they did not wrestle each other to determine who was third and who was fourth, as they were both at their 5 match limit (last yrs State Tourny). Also, very disapointed to hear Nelson is out for the year. Never met the kid personally, but have been around him enough to tell he's a class kid.

Would love to know the results of any interesting match ups that took place at State duals. Also, who took 3rd and 4th.

Anyone Know how Goshorn CC did this weekend?

Erdman's beat Goshorn 3 out of 4. Beat Nelson and lost to Wiley 4-2. I thought Auxier was an 8th grader last year.
