    ALL "A" WRESTLING STATE TOURNAMENT

relax ranger, haha, i believe what is being kicked around is something similiar to what basketball does with their all "a" tourney. that is it is basically an invite in the middle of the season of the smaller schools. josh is wrong in assuming it is based upon the football class criteria. basketball does not use this criteria either. the basketball coaches association decides who is "a" and who isnt. i would assume then that the host tourney of this event, Walton Verona, would ask the wrestling coaches association who they deem as small school and invite that group. so this would not be an official khsaa recognized state championship, similiar to the basketball set up. so the next question is what are the teams that the coaches association deem to be small school? this answer will tell you who will be invited to the all A tourney. i am sure it will take a few years to take off, but eventually i see it growing to something union and larue would even attend on a yearly basis. i believe this is the brainchild of bill boyle from what i am told.

    Region 6th predictions

yes, and anybody can study a certain type of style to defend it...and i would say yenter pinning easily, i have heard some decent results about brown and some of the things i hear bout yenter doesn't impress me as much as his normal self (obviously). If yenter wins i think it will be within 4 to 6 points

i think 103 is a toss up with those two, along with 119, 30, and 52.. i would have fausz over rushell by a couple points, same with jones and ahern

Adam Frey's battle with cancer ends.

About Adam Hello, my name is Adam Frey and I am a wrestler at Cornell University. On the Tuesday after Easter (March 25, 2008), I decided to get up a little earlier to make a nice stop at McDonald

i dont know how many of you have been following this story over the past few years but it is very sad to say the least. he was an amazing wrestler and an even better human being. the link will fill you in on the rest. my prayers go out to the frey family. http://adamfrey.us/?p=378

    103

yenter is the one to beat in my opinion. he was already top of the list for me to begin the season but with campbell countys super tough schedule vs dunbars weak schedule, yenter is going to see kids all year that he is going to have to step up his game in order to win. where as milford wont see top notch competition till quarters at the state tourney or maybe even semis. being in the battle is huge prep for state and yenter is getting it each saturday on the mat. i think ervin is most likely to give yenter a run.

heres a link to the brackets as they are updated. http://www.beastwrestling.com/ looks like fahy, bradbury, johnson, hitchings are 2-0 and in field of 16, and muphy and shotwell lost first round and have won in wrestlebacks.

the 119lb hall kid must be the real deal and only a 7th grader. you gotta be kidding me!! based upon him beating byrd ,(ranked 3rd in ohio d1 and a true bad a$$ himself) by a score of 9-2 tells me he is going to more than challenge for the top spot at 119 . i guess he will meet bradbury at the raider rumble and we will see where he is at in ky.

    Wrestlers going to Nationals

I know isaac ervin and dusty brown had to have shoulder surgery immediately after the season ended. austin palmer is waiting to get shoulder surgery. jake lee is injured and unable to attend. i am a little disappointed KY wont be represented by fahy and courtney but each kid and their parents have to decide whats best for themselves and they shouldn't be criticised for not going. i look for josh johnson, cory shotwell, and myron bradbury to be all americans (i hope there are more, i think these guys stand best chance at jr's). i am sure others in the underclassmen divisions stand a good shot. good luck to all.
