if trinity wins their 4 so called locks 103, 112, 171, 285 would ryle still be able to beat them in tourney format???

Also, Interesting note on the day Gray from TC will not be going to state. Got beat twice and then possibly got DQ'd from 5th place match for unsportsmanlike conduct??? Not sure of details. Looks like another region title for woodford. 9 in the finals I think.

Andy was 8 tenths over. Harr Co 119 offered to give up his spot but Andy would not do it so he went 125. He was devastated and could not get out of the dumps and lost his first match by 1. He was attempting to outmuscle people and was too weak and light. He wrestled very technically sound the rest of the day and got 3rd. Majored the kid that beat him I think. Will be much better next weekend when he can put on weight and get his strength back. May not win 125 but will be on the podium IMO.

Okay, state championships have already been given up to several wrestlers. Of the sure things who is most likely to lose. Fahy, Bradbury, Johnson, Courtney, Hitchings or Whiting. Will all 6 win or will some go down.

picture of zarth was great. Asked everyone I work with to guess his weight. They thought he looked 145. They could not believe he was 119!!! He looked ripped.

to me the question is most exciting. That means the outcome isn't known but anything can happen. Tiger Woods is the best in golf but not the most exciting that would be P Mickelson cause you never know when he is gonna hit on in the parking lot or the hole. That being said I like Travis Hedges from TC. with all of his throws anything can and does happen. Super duals at Laf. He is getting handled by Travis K and boom he pins him. Also like Brandon Barnett from Harr Co. Nothin like seeing someone 6'4" put someone in a banana split. Just a different perspective I guess.

I agree he will probably be top 8 I just have not seen him in person yet.

Have seen most of the top 103's in action Top eight in my humble opinion are 1. Fahy no brainer 2. Goff getting better and better 3. Bracco know he beat goff but that was early 4. Schuyler spell check he looks 6 foot 3 5. Yenter told he was as strong as goff 6. Milford solid but has trouble beating the top guys 7. Anderson MC if he can keep his head on straight 8. Abney TC he has fallen off a bit of late but capable of placing. Obviously have not seen Ruschell ,Reburn or Paden . What I have noticed is region 7 is loaded at 103 Feel sure that Bracco will advance but any of the others could easily miss state. Hanley Laf Asbury BC or Shirley HC could all upset the brackets. Whoever does advance should be ready for state.

I would have to think the Coy kid from Harrison County would be up their. He has fared well against all except Bruning. But they have all been close

Lenzwent up in weight classes to wrestle zarth. He never went up in weight. His weigh ins all year kept him at 112. I know their are a lot of people scrambling now. This is the exact reason that even when lenz was wrestling 125 he would weigh in at 115. I tried all year to get him to go 119 but he set a goal last year of 112 and he is stubborn. Best of luck to all and I think this snow will shake things up a lot.!!!!

Lenz is fine. His last weigh in was within his plan so he is good to go. He is officially going 112 for state!

I rather enjoy the way your rankings come out once a week rather than once a year. I know it gives the kids something to look at and talk about and create interest. No one is wanting your rankings to be perfect (except you of course). If you had a 100% success rate we could stop going to Frankfort everyyear. Also it makes a kid that topples an unbeatable number 1 even more proud of his accomplishment. Don't get me wrong, I am a data freak but too much makes wading through rather boring. The most helpful tool would be getting accurate data from across the state which would probably give you a higher success rate. I guess the western part of the state just doesn't respect the power of the Ranger like we do. Keep up the good work.

I haven't thought so all year but I now believe Lenz is gonna win 112. Thought Bradbury to be unbeatable but after the dragon I think Lenz will beat him. Lost 5 matches this year. Zarth at 119, Logsdon at 119, Reitz kid at 125 and Campbell kid at 125. The match aginst Joseph was a bloodletting with lip split in 2 places and busted nose. Still no excuse for him to lose that but he spotted quite a few pounds in all of those matches. I really think he is focused and will be ready to roll at state.IMO

I think Goff is moving his way up. He is getting better with every match. I see him in the top 4 maybe top 2.

question.. I have watched Lenz wrestle at 3 different weight classes and excel at all. At which weght class would he have a better shot at winning state. Not that he would win any but does he have a better shot at beating Bradbury at 112 or Zarth at 119. And don't respond neither. Just an honest question.

I would have to put Brandon Barnett of Harr Co on this list. Just won the capital city at 171. 28-3 this year just got his 100th win. Only sophomore in top 20 of 171 (under ranked I believe)

just a comment on the title IX. Even if cheerleading were put in as a sport it would probably not create an opening for a male sport most D1 cheer squads are coed so it would be a tradeoff. When I was at alabama soccer was a club sport and very quickly made it up the ladder. Maybe national participation is the issue.????

going 112 would be a smart move for abney. !03 has 6 of top 21 in his region. 112 has 3 of top 20 might be an easier path to state.
