I'm starting to see a trend here. CC has fallen from the top, WV has fallen and Mizz is falling Hmmm.

Wow are we back in the 1800's. Children should be seen but not heard? Are you kidding me. I'm not sure if rideemout can be punished by the school for something that he said on a message board. If he can I don't understand why. School has nothing to do with a public message board and never should. I garauntee if one of my kids got in trouble with school for something they said on a message board I would have a lawyer on ther rear end right there and now. Same would go if he was removed from a wrestling team. What goes on at home should stay at home and what goes on at school and practice should be handled there. Shcools are not the wrestlers/students parents. Maybe talk to rideemout's parents about it. Let his dad handle the situation or whoever takes care of dicipline at his house. As for what rideemout has actually said on here about whomever. Who cares, my mamma use to teach me "Sticks and stones can break my bones but names can never hurt me". I think several people on here need to remember that.

Kentuckywrestling.com HS Rankings 2012/2013 - Preseason August 20

What about the one that was bumped out at the end of last year? Bachman? Is he not at CC anymore or not wrestling? I didn't see him on the rankings. And I heard he tore it up at the Chilocothy (SP) duals this summer. Along with that I don't see Brad Krebs on the list. He did a fantastic job for CC at the beginning of the year. -
But coupled with this quote It looks like its already written in the sand.

OK did anyone else pick up on this little comment here? So this will be Austins last year at Campbell?

Wow SK #2 Maybe they can get the unwanted wrester from Campbell to put them over the top. -
All I can tell you handcontrol is that just prior to his arrival the CC coaches were planning on closing practice to parents. As far as I know this had never been done a CC before. When the Meyers arrived i asked if CC closed practice and was told yes. Now if papa is attending open mats at CC then that is another issue completely. it's called open mats for a reason.
-
Here you go Otto I will give you the 2 rooms you need. 1. Grant Co. 2. Campbell Co. (They began closed practices when the Meyers started practice just to keep papa out)

Are you serious? Did you just call out your new team coaches? After they just took in your kids so that they could wrestle this past season? Why in the world would CC send their entire team all the way to the Iron Man tourney? Thats a four hour trip or more on a bus, and an overnight stay. Would be a great waste of school money just so maybe 2 kids get some competition. As otto said most would go 0-2 and a couple maybe 1-2. The problem with wrestling programs in Ky is $$$. Public school have to spend their money wisely and get the greatest good for the greatest number of kids. CC doesn't even send their entire team to the GMV or the Fairfield tourney most years. Your best bet would be to raise the money for your kids to go and take them yourself. Most of the other Ky kids that attended this tourney did this. If I'm not mistakin Korey Shotwell did this a couple of years ago for CC.

I have heard you make a statement like this in many of your posts. There is a flaw in this. I would bet that any wrestler you ask will tell you they "want it". Now if you are talking about kids the "want it" and will do what it takes to get it. Then I would argue that anyone with a wrestling background would be able to do the same thing. Most high school coaches don't get many of these type of kids. Most parents and kids are not willing to sacrifice thier future on something that has a limited chance of success and will bring them little in return for their future. I applaude you on taking that chance with your kids. I surely hope it works out for their future and yours. (I'm talking past high school and college) Those trophies and medals will eventually be stored away in a closet somewhere gathering dust, much like mine were until my little ones asked to see my state medals. (I actually found the last one in the kids fishtank buried in the gravel). Don't think that I am bragging here. In my day all you had to do was be stronger and meaner than your opponent and you would more than likely win. I would never survive with what I knew then, in todays wretling in KY.

Sorry BL yours was not the one i was thinking about. I was thinking about the 45lber that quit and his family and friends.

I can think of at least on family at CC that is not happy thus far with your presents at CC.

You can keep the hardware, we will keep our honor. kids will be kids. Of course they will be proud of their state title, they are still to young to understand what price their team/school paid for it. My kids will also go D1 if they want. It will be a fact. However it will be through hard work in the classroom earning that all more important academic scholarship. Unlike many wrestlers in Ky that I know of, I allowed one of mine to skip a grade instead of holding them back. It may hurt him in sports but will help him greatly in academics. If they want to continue wrestling, which I hope they do. It will help round them out as a person. It will be nice to win a state title, but not tip priority. Even now as young as they are we enjoy watching their matches on DVD and seeing how much fun they are having. Sorry for the hi-jack of this topic. I'll finish with that last comment. Brock will become a 5 time state champion. Only injury or illness will keep him from it. As someone said you don't win 3 titles because of your name or luck. Since we are on the topic I also believe that both of the Meyers will win out. As someone has mentioned on here more times than we like. Facts are facts. They are the real deal, no matter who tries to take credit for their sucess.

What's the matter dropkick? You still drinking the purple Kool-aid? The greatest thing is watching my little one take down a purple singlet. Mama always told me just wait they will get there just deserts one day. Seems like making a deal with the devil is doing it now. As for Brock: didn't get to see him wrestle this year. (I had to work the weekend of state). But if he was better than last year it must have been great. He had to go through two tough wrestlers. Fausz and Ruschell.
-
Wow: Don't you guys get it yet? No one on here is allowed to have an opinion that is contradictory to Mpire's. Just in case you didn't know Mpire. Contradictory means: going against or say the opposite of another statement or belief. He has his own fife dome. He is the king just like the idol he is trying to look like (Conan). Just make sure you are out of his way when he goes into one of his r-rages. Oh wait he can't be Conan, his son is not a Norse god. Oh well I can't keep all this straight any more. I give up whatever Mpire says is correct. and don't you forget it.
-
And in OH you would not have been able to move again and wrestle after starting the season at another school. But wait that's why your here isn't it. Duh me.
-
Looks like Mr. Ruschell must be an idiot or delusional according to you. He didn't take them.

Just for the sake of arguement if CC's old 152 would have earned the same points that the 4th place finisher got (16) Campbell would have scored 155.5 pts a respectable 2nd place. If he earned the 5th place finishers points (11) Campbell would have scored 150.5 points placing 5th. No the Meyers brothers did not do it all themselves however if Ryle or SK get these boys pts they either win or are runner up.

What is the uproar. In what level of sports are you able to pick up a new player just for the post season? They were not affiliated with CC on any level. Even in Beer league softball you can't bring a ringer in for the post season. I know that is a KHSAA problem, but just because they said it was OK does not mean it is OK, and it was up to the coach to make the final decision. Did you ever think that maybe KHSAA wanted to pass the buck: They probably thought the Coach B would make the right choice and this would clear them of any possible scandle. I would say that people side with CC's decision if you are one of the two? 1. Young and believe that winning is all that matters or 2. You live in "Mike's World" I've heard this used a lot recently and it seems to be true. I was able to leave this world and now can look in and I see many problems.

Hey ranger when you post the new rankings are you really gonna put the Meyers down as Campbell Co? Maybe put them down as GC/CC. They could split the points between Grant and Campbell. Or are you to deep in "Mike's World"? -
And someone told me that I should be ashamed of saying something negative about Coach B. Looks to me that he has lost his way. Or is it that he wants that last state title before he retires. B-L: Are you sure that you want to continue with this. You and Coach B have known each other a very long time, he as your coach then collegue and friend.

Have you looked at what he had done? He lost to a kid from Dixie (not ranked) and didn't do well at GMV where SK won a couple of matched and CC placed. (Not a top 10 candidate at this wt. class)
