We know how hard it is to find quality upper weights that want to train at a high level. We have solved your problem. Come join a great upper weight staff that will show upper weight specific techniques and strategies. Open Coaching Position for Golden Cross Academy’s Elementary Gold Team
With the exponential growth of the Academy at all levels, we want to make sure that personal attention at each level continues to improve. The Elementary Gold Team placed 3rd in the OAC State the last season 3 years. We are looking for a coach that wants to go all in and work with some of the best kids in the Tri State and Country! We are looking for a coach capable of helping these young men reach their individual goals and win a team state title. This position will also involve working with the Jr High team during practice. Our Jr High team won the OAC State last season!
Other opportunities: Private Lessons/ Camps
Coaching qualifications: State/National/College experience, several year commitment, able to communicate effectively with youth athletes and parents, attend practice 4 days a week, basic administrative skills, organize competition schedule and travel details, able to travel with team during team events

PRESEASON ACADEMY

The Preseason Academy is designed for the committed wrestler K-12th grade who want to reach their full potential. It is hard for the committed wrestler to find good preseason workout partners and an intense atmosphere. These sessions will allow you to train with other top notch wrestlers through intense drilling and live wrestling week after week to prepare you for the upcoming season. Each session will physically and mentally challenge you not matter what level you are at. If you are serious about reaching your goals for this upcoming season, this is for you! Extra sessions like these is what it takes to move ahead of the competition.
We had a great group last year consisting of numerous state placers and several state champs! Come and be apart of the great talent.
*All sessions will be held in the La Salle High School wrestling room. -

The youth camp is a spin-off of the Sr. High/Jr. High camp. The youth wrestlers will receive the individual attention they need to master the basic and advanced techniques that will be covered. There will be a lot of intense drilling and live wrestling that will challenge youth wrestlers of all ages and talents. If your wrestler is willing to work hard this is the camp for them. You will see immediate results!

There are virtually no camps that are designed for the beginner wrestler. If you have a child that would like to try wrestling for the first time
or a wrestler that only has a few years experience, this camp is designed specifically for them. The Golden Cross Staff will teach the fundamentals of wrestling in a fun atmosphere. We will teach a system that ANY youth athlete can comprehend. Good sportsmanship, self-
confidence, self-discipline, and self-motivation will be emphasized throughout this camp. All students will be closely supervised before, during, and after all sessions.
Session times:
Friday 10a-12p & 1p-3p
Saturday 10a-12p & 1p-3p

Last season we had an overwhelming request for additional technique during each practice. This season we are going to provide a systematic approach to instilling technique into each practice. We will typically have 4-6 coaches on the mat to ensure personal attention. We will continue to have plenty of intensity and live wrestling.
The last several moths of last season, there were concerns that the room was way to crowded. At that time we had tons of drop in wrestlers coming in. That is the main reason we upped the per session price to $15. We want to be fair to our dedicated members and make sure they are getting the attention they need. Now drop ins can come for free the first session and decide if they want to pay per session or become a member.

We had a record breaking season last year! We have made several tweaks to the Academy to continue to improve and better server you and your wrestler. The Golden Cross Staff is very excited for this season!
This years Goals
Jr High:
The roster is shaping up to be the best team we have ever had. Last year we finished top 3 in every event we participated in. This year we are striving to win every event! (OAC does not keep Jr High team score)
Elementary:
