Starting March 7th and every wednesday after Jeffersontown HS will have open mats from 3-5pm.

Top 4 teams to come out of pools- Central, Woodford County, North Oldham and Grissom Alabama. Woodford and Grissom in Championship- Still wrestling when we left, Looked pretty even when we left North and Central in 3rd place match- Just started wrestling J-Town 48 Doss 36 for 5th Good day of Wrastling Hopefully Woodford brought it home for the KY boys! Let us know what happened!

Huge thanks to David Clemens 4x all american from Campbellsville U. For putting on a great clinic today at J-Town HS, showed some great technique from every position (not just clinic moves). Will be looking forward to having him back soon. Highly recommend to have him come out to your school!

Who cares, this is exactly what this region needed that is awesome news! Now if we can get Ballard and Waggner up and running again we will be in good shape! The only bad news is that this could delay the realignment process a bit.

What's up with Ballard, I keep hearing there going to be wrestling again but no offical word. I'd like to see T come over since there in St. Matthews, Shift a few from 3 to 4 and give us Frankfort or Bullitt schools Or Just split Preston Hwy there's 4/5 and Bulitt, Meade and Bring a few from 2 to 3. My suggestions Regardless Some thing needs to be done, go back to districts anything!

I'm used to getting kids out during there 10th and 11th grade year If I got a middle schooler I wouldn't even know what to do with myself wrestling in middle school is very rare in jefferson county so the numbers wont go up or down there where maybe four kids in the county on Varsity at the county tourney so I don't think it will affect much. If they do start wrestling programs in the middle schools it will only help build kentucky wrestling. But like I said getting kids out so late and granted that Jeffersontown is in a smaller not as competitive region and we made state duals this year. Doesn't say much for the state in wrestling. What we need to do is make the sport more popular and run out all the coached that run off kids trying to relive there high school years. I completely agree with my old coach and the guy above him.

Jeffersontown High School will be having open mats 3:30 to 5:00 starting tommorrow Mar. 1st we'll go every monday and wednesday till the dead period must have a Valid USA card to Wrestle, no club fee. We are upstairs in the small gym. Hope to see you there.

Jeffersontown beat Hughes (OH), Newport, Western Hills, lost to Spring Valley (WV) in a close one by 3 points 34-31 then beat Walton Verona for a 3rd place finish. Couple of starters out of our line up maybe could have gone the other way but WV team showed up. Notable wins Dair Sharipov pinned Dane Niday state placer out of WV

We the coaches have gotten together an made up a schedule for open mats they go as followed: Mon- North Oldham - 4 to 5:30pm (confirmed) Tue- Jtown - 4 to 6pm (confirmed) Wed- Fern Creek - 4 to 6 pm (confirmed) Thur- Iroquois - 4to 6pm (confirmed) Fri- PRP or other if PRP is not possible? - 3 to 5pm (after school I imagine - not confirmed) How ever North Oldham will not go to day MONDAY they will start next week with this schedule the new schedule will start tuesday at JTOWN from 4-6 Its very much incouraged that EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!

flowrestling.org, has made flim on specific techniques that they have collected from all over the country, in just about every mat room known to man, avalible to anyone for $20 a month or $150 a year. I highly recommed this to all coaches great way to conduct flim studies.
