So a 5x placer, 3x finalist, 2x champ, NHSCA soph natls runner up, fila-cadet natls 3rd, nhsca junior natls 5th, fila-cadet natl champion/usa world team member, fargo junior all american that never cut weight except for natls doesn't get any mention, tough crowd! How many have been on world teams? Not the best ever but at least deserves mentioning over some that have been listed. jmo and of course I'm biased.

That is not true, Wilkerson beat Gilkey.
-
My pick is that Ashford - Scott will come out of the bottom half.

They are some of the highest endowed institutions in the world. As long as you have the gpa and a high 28+ act score, they can be cheaper than most other schools. No redshirts in Ivy league either.

Only appropriate for the quarter sized medals that the champions get! Like I said last year, after this season, I will never attend another KHSAA event except for 3 years of soccer until my daughter is finished then never. They are only interested in one thing and that is their 6 figure incomes, period!

Which team did Fern Creek take the place of at state duals?
-
It's on trackwrestling, 17 teams listed.

Everyone vote! Wrestling is barely ahead of Squash. And then vote again! http://www.gamesbids.com/eng/app/poll

It's officially freestyle season. One of the CC guys was in Dayton, OH getting ready.

Miskell is the only region 6 placer that would have been realigned. -
From the KHSAA Handbook bylaw 3. Basically, you can't be 16 before August 1st of your freshman year. BYLAW 3. AGE Sec. 1) Age Restriction Pursuant to KRS 156.070 (2) (e), a student who becomes nineteen (19) years old before August 1 shall be ineligible for interscholastic athletic competition. A student who becomes nineteen (19) on or after August 1 shall remain eligible for the entire school year. Sec. 2) Waiver Provision The Ruling Officer and the Commissioner may waive the provisions of this bylaw and the student shall be eligible for high school athletics in Kentucky if the written documentation is provided to clearly demonstrate that the student: a) Qualified for exceptional children services and had an individual education program developed by an admissions and release committee (ARC) while the student was enrolled in the primary school program; Was retained in the primary school program because of an ARC committee recommendation; and c) Has not completed four (4) consecutive years or eight (8) consecutive semesters of eligibility following initial promotion from grade eight (8) to grade nine (9). The Ruling Officer and the Commissioner shall not adopt administrative procedures that allow for waiver of this rule under any other condition.

What would be interesting is if someone has the time to figure out how next years realignment would have affected the numbers. Region 6 would have had 26 with the realignment. -

The thing is that even with 27 placers region 6 also underperformed. I count several additional kids that I'm a little surprised they didn't place, but that's why we wrestle the matches. -

Everyone is off, region 6 had 27 placers 106 - Scaggs 113 - Maggard 120 - Adams, Owens 126 - Parrott 132 - Fausz 138 - Hamilton, Sander 145 - Jackson, Woods, Belk 152 - Cooper, Jones 160 - Myers 170 - Jones, Meiman, Turner 182 - Chamblee, Matthews, Steele 195 - Miller, Thompson 220 - Myers, Maine, Mueller 285 - Miskell, Weber -
It's a folkstyle dual tournament, and they get 5 lbs. However, I would think the final say is up to the coaches. http://www.themat.com/events/default.php?page=default&EventID=28385

You're absolutely right the title/memories are what's important, but that still doesn't make it right. I suspect that for a voluntary nonprofit 501©3 organization the KHSAA staff is doing quite well instead of giving back to the athletes and schools that they're supposed to be serving.
-
Paul, I'm getting a plaque and brackets made myself. I'll order for you and Austin as well. What a joke that the parents have to go get them made themselves. The KHSAA can be assured that when my wrestler is finished, I probably will never step foot in their tournament again unless things change and change quickly! Do the math and they made 6 figures plus because a large part of the 5,000 paid for all session passes. If they're spending that kind of money for rent then they need fired, period! Complete set of awards should be $1,000-$1,400 or less for 14 deserving young men. Sad!

Is Blanton really only in the 7th grade or is that a mistake?
-
You can always take a laptop or use a smart phone to fill them in yourself. I'm sure Trackwrestling will be kept current. I've already printed mine out and ready to go.
-
You'll find it here http://khsaa.org/wrestling/teamstateinstructions.pdf.

I'd throw 138 in there too.

Not sure what kid you're talking about, but I can tell you that my son is still ticked 6 years later that his 5th/6th place match was decided by a coin flip. Most kids with any desire want to finish what they start, jmo. MS administration, you did a great thing going to USA Wrestling. Don't pay any attention to any of this bull. The current system is much better than a coin flip. Everyone that has been around KY MS wrestling knows that a 2 day MS tourney just isn't going to fly so short of adding another week of post season with a semi state, the current setup is much better.
-
Obviously, I was very correct about your intentions. Way to confirm it!

Nice first post troll! What team that is predicted to be in the top 5 is completely homegrown? SK might be the only one but then again some of those boys may live closer to another school since I believe Kenton County has open enrollment. And I'm pretty sure Chamblee wasn't brought up through that program.
