RYLE'S MICHAEL OSBORNE COMMITS TO AIR FORCE
SOWrestler replied to RYLE RAIDERS's topic in 2010 Season
I'm goin to Navy, and even if I don't make the team I'll be sure to go to the Navy - Air Force dual whenever it is! -
Kentuckywrestling.com HS Rankings Pre-Season 2010/2011 - March 16

Rankings look good dude. I don't see why you bother with the state duals rankings since we all know they're gonna be snowed out again. -
At the Elementary State Tournament Woodford had only a handful of kids compared to the rest, but they were almost all very good little wrestlers. True, they don't have something going the way Ryle, Fern Creek, Connor and South Oldham do, but it's enough to where they will continue to be contenders for a long time to come.
-
Wasn't last year like one of the first times in a VERY long time that woodford didn't finish in the top 3 or something crazy like that? They'll come back. The Carrs know what they're doing and are the two best coaches in the state, by far.

I really missed the funnel cakes...

Biggest Shocker or Let down: Individual and Team
SOWrestler replied to Has Been's topic in 2010 Season
To change the topic, i would like to say congratulations to my team. We brought 7 wrestlers to the state tournament. 2 of them went two and out and didn't get any points. So essentially, we placed 12th as a team with 5 wrestlers. 4 of them placing. A strong finish to a very tough and rebuilding year for us. (Only 1 placer is graduating) -
There were three weight classes in region 5 with 4 wrestlers. You literally just had to make weight at regions. HWT, 171 and some other weight class. I cant remember. It doesn't mean as much for us and I don't really like it. It definately needs to be changed. This is unfair.

Sounds good. I'm game.

Aw crap. You know who I am! haha, now i gotta figure out who you are...
-
First part is your take on it, so i'm totally cool with that. 2nd part, I totally agree with you, but, since they're all terrible, the only thing you have to go by is who beat who. So, I think just for rankings sake, he should go there until it's proven that any of the others could beat him, instead of choosing a random one and putting him up there. Our 215 will be seeded 2nd based on the matches at the duals, so he won't see mcneeley till the finals if he gets there, while the other people all have the risk of being on mcneeleys side.
-
A few things from South. Our 215 Jerod Good pinned everyone except mcneeley at the duals, including fern creek. Proctor also beat hendren twice last year. So... That's it though. Other than that it seems accurate.

At the Central Hardin duals Brown lost to Frost 2-1. They each had their escapes in the 2nd and 3rd, and brown got knocked for stalling in the 3rd. I think the heavyweight championship could be any one of those top 6 guys. Also, Bernard Ray wrestled 171 at Central Hardin. You may know something I don't on this... -
Cole Proctor and Brandon Whitehouse, as well as 2 other varsity wrestlers were home sick.
-
That last line sounds bad... I meant it more as he'll beat opponents who he's not as good as because he outworks them...

agreed. don't leave the match up to the ref's decision. Make it obvious that you've won. -
He went to camp with me this summer, his name's ryan dewitt. He weighed 245ish at the start of camp and now he's a 215 lber. He was always a hard worker, i think that makes up for a lot of his lack of natural talent.

You have 2 people ranked at 171 for Campbell County -
River City 5th South Oldham 6th Walton/Anderson 7th and 8th (I dunno who won)
-
woodford and st x have been there recently. Fern creek went 3 years ago.

Aiight then, it's on. ROCK over RAP. Rock music is played by REAL people playing REAL instrument, not some drum machine. Rappers don't sing, they rap. I get pumped from hearing people SING, not people just saying stuff in beat with the song. You don't need to be a "musician" to rap. You think most rappers today know what a B# minor scale is? no. But I bet you any rock band worth anything has a guitarist and a bassist who know their theory. Rock is played by talented people and you can feel the emotion behind what they're playing, plus, rock ROCKS! Maybe you identify with rap, and you identify yourself with the lyrics, but rock is way easier to do that with.. "Soulja Boy Off In This Hoe Watch Me Crank It Watch Me Roll Watch Me Crank Dat Soulja Boy Then Super Man Dat Hoe Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat Soulja Boy) Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat Soulja Boy) Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat Soulja Boy) Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat Soulja Boy)" (Chorus from Crank That) What? Does that make any sense at all?
