How is he a surprize :? He has improved so much or he is a good wrestler that transfered into KY  From what I've read he is a very talented wrestlers that transfered in and landed on John roster  Next we will hear how Coach Smith or Joe B was a great influence on his wrestling technique :-D Everyone gets a good transfer every now and then, this kid has made the John line-up pretty solid. I hope he continues to have sucess.

Isn't that the truth, AND THATS A GOOD THINK. Programs would died to have just one of the union coaches and they have several. All are qualified to be head coaches anywhere in KY.
-
FUI, I'm referring to all kids with over zealous parents, coaches and or critics. I know two of the three parents and they are great providers and role models, the other parents probably are as well. I didn't want it to come across as an attack on any family. :-D

Gary is one of the most respected coaches in KY wreslting history. The fact that John beat Larue is a great thing within region 2 and makes everyone better. It wouldn't surprize me for Larue to beat everyone this weekend at the region 2 duals part 2. As for last year, Gary Canter had a better team then Keith Smith; but, an injury to Miller before state didn't allow the results to show. Larue won the team duels North scored more than Larue at state. We can't change the past just learn from it. State Duals and State will be exciting to say the least. :-o :-D

Folks - Wolsiefer vs. Wheeler was a year ago, it doesn't matter anymore. This is a new year, Wolsiefer vs. Ervin will be a great match, in the Qts, Semi or hopefully in the finals. Yes, they are the best two in the weigh class. :-P Injuries, stitches, head wraps, face mask, body armor it doesn't matter it will be a get 160 match. I'm starting to agree with others, we aren't finding anything positive to discuss: ONLY blame the referee's or some other scheme to created controversy, he was injured, he was ducking him. Come on folks lets find something more positive than finding fault or causing more drama for these high school kids. I think they have enough pressure from over zealous parents and coaches for us to add fuel to the fire.

Neither is Miller or Brown 135 has some quality kids and the semi's should be exciting.

I asked the question of what all happen and didn't get much. I was hoping someone from either schools to fill in the blanks or make corrects. Hard to believe two of the top teams in the state go against each other and all that comes out is the final score : : :-o -

I'm not implying either coach did. I was more interested in the individual matches and how each teams stronger wrestlers matched up. :-D Did either team have any key wrestlers out due to holiday vacation, sick, injured :? I'm guessing not or someone would have posted the reason they won or lost was due to something. It must have come down to the last match, who was the lucky two that had all the pressure of winning the dual a season veteran or a younger star :? -
I'm framing that post, Ranger agreed with me :-D Thanks HA HA

round 3 Wayne Co. 33 Campbell Co. 31 What where the individual match-ups and results. Did both teams go straight up, was any bumping used by either coach to strength the lineup up or down :? -
OK, enough with Zach Poulton, he is back in school, he meets all the requirements top participate, he got beat by Davis and DAvis got beat by Miller. Zac needs time to get back in shape and we will see how he does. 135 New rankings should be: 1. Miller 2. Davis 3. Poulton When Zac beats #1 or 2, then he should move up. :-o

I remember the old days of weigh cutting and I believe we are better educated about the process. Most everyone is following the rules. As you said, some will always be trying to bend the rules; but others are just plan breaking them. We don't need anymore bad press about cutting weigh, health ect to give administrators another reason to cut out our sport.

Get health soon and back on the mat :-D

Josh Johnson is quite impressive on his feet, he is quick and probably deserving of the top position @130:evil: -
I thought you were at 142 :?
-
Point taken, but your Example, let's say a kid has not won a match all year and comes out of no where & places 3rd at the WCI, Dragon, or whatever hypothetical tournament you want to come up with. Are you going to vote for the guy who places 3rd? He went way above what anyone expected. This example doesn't work, the John kid won the tournament, not third. Yes, Harrison and Houchins did dominate, but I think we all expected that. The Mcceary freshman is another good choice, not being ranked and winning. But were any of the Hwt. in the top three in the state? Either way, all the kids mentioned all did a great job in winning the 07 WCI. I have to agree that Webb beating two top ranked kids is impressive  It will be interesting when Webb matches up with Ashbrook next week.
-
Why isn't anyone giving the John Kid (Webb) any credit for beating both Dakota and Chad Scott :? If Dakota wasn't ready to wrestle and put his #1 ranking on the line he should have sat out, due to injury. He wrestled and it didn't work out, NO excusses just facts. Maybe next time the results will be different. The bracket should the champion as a #5 seed, that seems impressive. :-o
