I would have to disagree with that. I dont think that any of them would win it at 215. I also dont think that people give Nickel and Green the credit they deserve. Nickel is a returning state champ from one of the most evenly matched weight classes from last years state tournament!! Green has alot of experience and they both have alot of big match experience and wins!! Not to mention the return of Deon Chaney last years runner-up. If It would be that easy then Im sure Kelly would trade his workout partner (Dials) weight classes, but facts are facts...

the question that always stood out in my mind is to why Brandon never wrestled the likes of say St. Paris Graham, St. Edwards or any of the great ohio schools?

Im not saying that they aren't any good, They are simply not as good as they seem to think they are. I personally think that sheldon clark is a much better tournament team. maybe im wrong.. with region 8 who knows? also if memory serves me correct troxell was beating kincer 7-0 just after the first period when he got caught last year at regions, and during the summer who knows what the weight difference was. Also dont count Pace out on a huge upset, I mean he did it last year in the semi's at regions.. :wink:

All the animosity in region 8 is what make this region so exciting. from a bystanders point it seems that there are two good teams that have a right to say they are good wayne co. and sheldon clark. these are the most consistant teams that are always in the race for the regional championship, throw in all the teams that THINK they are good ie. McCreary, Johnson, and Letcher co. Then add some good old eastern Kentucky jealousy and hate and I would say we should have a good time at region duals and the region tournament. remember this is just one mans opinion. :evil:

the match they wrestled this year at the thanksgiving dual at mccreary central matt sullivan won by pin, in fact it was in the 2nd period. but go ahead toot your own horn, all of region 8 will see it soon..

at 130 aaron dodd wayne co. has already pinned josh back from letcher, and at 152 Matt sullivan would have to be the man to beat in region 8 having already pinned shoopman this year.

Danvilles meet saturday was not a regular bracket tournanment, so most weight classes ended up with two or three undefeated kids just depending on how many pools there were in each weight class..

I agree, there were some good matches saturday at Danville. Region 4 is shaping up to be a tough tough region this year, alot of teams and alot of talented kids.

I think im sensing some animosity by someone who maybe got beat by a Wayne co. guy somewhere in their career..

I saw in the general wrestling where high school wrestlers were given a present to be a freshman and get to choose what school and coach they would wrestle for, so I thought it would be fun to start one for the middle school coaches. If you were a 7th or 8th grader in the state of kentucky, which team/club and coach would you want to wrestle for in the state..

In Kentucky I would have to say Union County because of the Ervin brothers that coach, I think its Robert and Tim maybe. They seem like genuine men and great coaches that help each of there wrestlers achieve more week to week.
