    MOW

I saw Travis Sullivan pin everyone in the 1st period except one person and he pinned him 40 sec into second period. It was at 103 but a feat never the same. I don't think anybody scores on him either but not 100% sure. What the older Myers kid was doing to everyone was pretty impressive as well.

    Sometimes I Wonder!

I too agree that the MOW award should be awarded to the Mow of that tournament. With that being said I would have probably of voted Brock or cooper as my MOW. I thought brock had the toughest weight class and although the match with ruschell looked close score wise it seemed brock never lost any control in that match. Cooper looked dominant in every match and beat a very good kid in polly. I thought Fahy just didn't turn it loose in the finals and if he would have he could have came away with a tech fall and def made me want to vote for him. Myers (152) also was very impressive but he probably had the weakest weight of all the others considered. I also believe there will be a very good chance that he wins MOW next year. I would really like to see him and Cooper in the finals. AS far as the ky vs the world comment, I personally commented on ky vs ga, fl, and tn. I simply predicted the outcome of the matches based on usawrestling.com national rankings that I looked up and the information crazyotto shed light on. I also stated that styles clash and or an off day can make a good wrestler beat or even keep a match close with a phenomenal wrestler. Also I would like to say that a dual match also has a lot to do with momentum. If your stud wrestler on your team goes out and gets hammered and then your second best stud goes out and gets majored then the whole team corral is headed the wrong direction quick. Sorry I am rambling and just trying to explain some of my predictions.

    Ha! Thought you might be.

    KY vs The world

Don't get me wrong I too think it would be more on the lines of 13-1 12-2 but it is wrestling and styles do clash, so 10-4 or 11-3, 12-2,13-1 or a 14-0 is all possible. I definetly don't think ky can do better than 4 wins right now With these two teams.

    NWCA Scholastic Duals?

Robert or Tim Ervin are usually the coaches that head that team. I know weights have changed since season but the line-up would look descent this year with 106-Whalen but I am sure dezember is representing, 113 Blackwell, 120 parrott or north but I am sure it's wurth, 126 brock, 132 jayce, 138 Hamilton, 145 cooper, 152 myers, 160 hitchings if he wasn't a senior or the next best kid not a senior but I am sure it will be risinger, 170 ???, 182 ???, 195 Myers or Bryant, not sure if Bryant was a senior, Myers or next best kid not a senior, hvy????. Upper weights will definitely be a weak spot for team ky

    KY vs The world

I def think ky all stars could hang with th tn all stars and possibly win that match-up. I don't think they would beat ga or Fl but tn and ky are about on the same level.

    NWCA Scholastic Duals?

I am very interested to see this years team as well. I hope the Myers boys are representing for ky. Always some good competition up there with pa Illinois and Indiana teams usually battling it out.

    KY vs The world

In a dual there is no way ky all stars could hang with oh all stars, but I believe there would be several closer matches and even some unexpected upsets for the ky team. 106 ky loses by pin or at very least major. 113 ky loses probably by major but maybe just decision. Kill intel or Blackwell either one could make a go of it and anything can happen in wrestling. 120 I think Garth would not lose by more than a dec and very possibly could get a upset victory.i don't know who Brock would have in his weight but I think he could bang with just about anybody oh has at that particular weight. 132 jayce is very talented but probably not on same level. Only chance he has at winning is other kid gases for some reason because I have yet to see him gas out. He probably gets majored or even teched. 138 Fahy could def slip away with with a dec but prob loses a close dec. I agree cooper or Meyers either one wins at 145 and either one loses by maj or better at 152. 160 ky loses pretty bad prob pin. 170 Jude loses only because he hasn't trained with tough competition. He def has the tools to make a go but would need to be pushed in a hard room for couple weeks to be competitive for 6 min. 182 ray is very tough and keeps match close but loses. 195 we get pinned unless Meyers is here then maybe we keep it close and if lucky a win. Same for 220. Meyers = possible win but close loss or pin if anyone else is here. Heavy has been a weak weight for ky for a very long time. We lose by pin. Do in the end I agree oh goes12-2 with a chance of 10-4

    NAIA Nationals

Just to let everyone know that the NAIA National tournament is taking pllace in Des Moines Iowa. Here are a few updates on the KY teams and previous KY wrestlers. After Day 1 Lindsey Wilson 10th place (4 in winners 7 in losers) Kary Goff 1-1 Isaac Thomas 1-1 Mark Back 0-2 Harison Courtney 1-1 Dereck Nickel 1-1 Campbellsville 6th place (6 in winners 5 in losers) Josh Ashbrook 0-2 Cumberlands 14th place (3 in winners 4 in losers) Jeremy Gardner 0-1 *Side note it looks like Grandview and Southern Oregon are going to be in a fight for first while all the ther teams battle it out for 3rd, but still a lot of wrestling left! I think Campbellsville could possibly be in the running if they can push three or four into finals and get some help from some other teams to knock off grandview and Southern Oregon. Its a long shot but there is always a chance.

    Coty Lewis

Where has he been? Will he even wrestle this year and what weight? I hope so I like to watch him when he is on his game and in shape.

    cumberland vs campbellsville

I would say that both teams have some outstanding freshman that will push for a starting spot against some of these guys. Lets not forget these guys were once freshmen as well. Also a redshirt is still considered a freshmen and last year both schools had redshirts at the Patriot open that looked tough. I have to give the edge to Campbellsville right now because of Cumberlands rebuilding year and the graduation of four out of five AA, but you never know. I think Cumberland will have a great tournament team like always as will Campbellsville. Have to wait and see.

    Sullivan -vs- Carr

Can Evans 112?? I think everyone would love to see that rematch
  20. Ok I will ry to put some perspective on it for you. Luke Troxell is a good wrestler but just because he is wrestling at Wayne does not make him that much tougher. Will it help him? Yes!! Not third though maybe fifth or sixth. 119- Daniels, Evans and Zarth could go either way but Zarth is the returning state champ and Evans could hang with the both of them when he was 112 last year. If he is a solid 119 pounder it could be all the difference in the world, but after the state results of last year this is the correct order, but probably wont be the order come february. I agree With you on the Coty Lewis thing. Who knows if he will even be wrestling come february. Chad Scott will probably be 145 especially if Courtney is 152, some people scuk weight!! Hitchings beat Courtney yes but 171 has a returning state champ that Hithcings cannot beat at this time. Bullock Not sure about but I know aybody can get caught.

    16 Man Brackets at State

Their is two things impressive about what was just said here A. That it obviously is not a kid who has wrote this reply because of the correct grammar and the fact that it actually makes alot of sense B. The more impressive fact about this quote is that this was wrote at 3:30 A.M. Somebody is a night owl or just really had to get something off the chest.

    Bluegrass

There is no doubt Sulivan will be at 112 again. He will not risk that undefeated high school record and four time state champ on a higher weight. Before anybody blows this statement out of proprtion; he could compete at a higher weight and probably win it but why risk it. I know you all are thinking so more colleges will look at you. But if he is an undefeated four time state champ and does ok at senior nationals he can go to any D1 school he wants, although I heard he already has his mind set on Campbellsville for some reason????? I wish he would at least go 119 so we could see him against some tougher competition or maybe a Evans Sullivan rematch considering somebody said Evans is in the 130 pound range.

If he can make 119 for this tourney then he will be 119 or less come february

    Bluegrass

Yes Zarh getting beat is a huge surprise! Courtney on the mat top or bottom is awesome, but on his feet he is average at best hin hint if your in his weight class. Not taking anything from him, just proves he is not unbeatable. Did this Hector Rezado kid wrestle what weight and how good does he look?
