Before we get in another precarious situation like we did this year can we come up with what is acceptable. While the finals celebration has seemed to increase in intensity every year I believe some celebration is in order. I have brought my fair share of beach balls, streamers, glow sticks for kids the past several years but agree toilet paper and other objects could cause problems. cmccoy what would you deem acceptable? Then we can get with our fans prior to the celebration and tell them what will and will not be tolerated. As parents I guarantee we will not have a problem policing our kids before we let the state finals match not have its special place in the spot light. Lets not kill the excitement i.e. (beach balls) just curtail it. Thank you for your time.

If you don't mind me asking what are the cost of the middle school medals. We have done a sponsorship every year for the state wrestling tournament and if possible I would much rather donate money to buy quality medals. Also what is the time frame on getting medals.

Just want to say thank you to Union and St. X coaches for going ahead and wrestling after they had won there divisions. A lot of teams would not have risked losing after winning a state title. That's speaks volumes about your programs in my opinion.

Every tournament throughout the year has a seeding meeting. Regardless of how many studs are in a weight. I have never seen a tournament cancelled because they couldn't figure out where to seed the kids. The Monday before state have a coaches meeting or a panel to seed each weight. I understand rankings are opinion but like the Hall of Fame everyone comes together and pleads their case. Also my theory for the top four seeds you also have to win your region. ex. Jake Wempe lost in regional at 125 was ranked in the top four so he would be excluded from a top four ranking.

Ranger 123, I would like to get your opinion or anyone else's on seeding the state tournament. I have always thought that the top 4 kids as long as they win their regions should be seeded. This would allow the 1 and 2 kids the opportunity to run out of the tunnel Saturday night instead of facing off Friday or Saturday morning. Which then makes the finals somewhat of a scrimmage. For example putting Elam and Bradbury on the same side clearly takes some of the great buildup away from the 103 finals. Another ex. two years ago at 112 you have Coty Lewis 1, Luna 2, and Puckett 3, all on the same side while Josh Johnson walks to the finals. "No disrespect to Josh" Every year at this time grumbling starts about good and bad draws. Don't get me wrong I am a firm believer in you have got to beat them sooner or later. But as far as the venue has come from our old days at Atherton it should be the two best kids walking out at the end. Thank you for your time.

He was going to take the mask off and tape it for wolsifer but like I said earlier he doesn't have to because wolsifir did not show up.

The Mater Dei Tournament could have been one for the ages. Floyd Central was rumored to be dropping to 160 for the competition. So you would have had a state champ from Indiana, John a 2x from Kentucky, Mitch a 1x, and Tanner the #3 ranked 160 in Indiana. But Floyd didn't drop John is a no show. I here John has a broken finger and to be honest with you I haven't seen his name at any tournaments. Mitch has one eye super glued and the other eye has nine stitches in it so he will probably be wrestling in a mask. But Mitch wanted a shot at John so he is wrestling. So just like the Harrison Tourney it will be Mitch and Tanner once again. By the way Mitch won a close match 6-4. And for anyone who doesn't know Mitch and Tanner are first cousins they have been wrestling each other all of their lives.

Ranger 123, Thanks once again for putting out the rankings every year. It is getting to the point I don't even look at the KWCA page anymore because it takes them so long to update their website. I know keeping current with all the new kids coming out and which weights to put kids is an insane task. Also, once you put all of this together then people want to pick it apart. Just letting you know how much I appreciate it. One last thing for all you highschool kids. Let all of us old wrestlers debate these rankings. Our time is done yours is know come the second week of February rankings won't mean a thing. Good Luck to all.
