If he is a transfer in beginning of January yes. If he is a freshman that has been there all year and just decided to come out no. I would tell him to come to off season and summer and look forward to his Sophomore year. If that is the case, we would have kids miss the hardest part of the year on purpose.

The difference is football goes by boy population. Each "A" counts for like 100 boys. This is what makes Central a 3 A football team. We have a smidge over 300 boys/ 700 girls!

Coach McCoy and the KYWCA have been working on an alignment plan for over a year. The State will be split into Big School / Small School as voted on by the coaches for a two year trial period. Both Big School and Small School divisions will be split into 6 sectionals based on Geography. I know they are still tying up some loose ends but should have work completed very soon. Two teams will come out of each sectional to create a 12 team tournament at each level. The goal of this is to increase participation in hopes that more schools will add wrestling in the near future.

All schools are required to stay with thier divisions for the first year. There is a option we talked about for the second year. Remember this is a trial that may or may not work out. We will have to wait and see what happens and how we can make it better. The whole goal is to help promote the sport in our state. The option will be helpful to some and hurt others. We can't make everybody happy.

They wrestled again at regional duals in which Jarvis won 12-5. ??? Region 4 will be at Atherton High School on Feb. 10.

Trinity varsity will not be at Jefferson County. They have a prior committment.

Woodford lost to Grissom 41-22 Central lost to Woodford 41-36 Central beat North Oldham 42- 28 I will put final team scores on tomorrow. Central and Woodford match was a good one that was decided during the 113 match. Great job by both teams.

It will be a straight duals tournament.

This will end up being a pretty good early season tournament. We have a number of top guys from Lafayette, Christian Co, Univesity Heights, and Central. Every bracket will have at least 11 guys in it. We are looking forward to a good tourney. Come out and watch. We will have some football out but all will not wrestle.

Shouldn't warm ups be at the Derby City instead of the Raider Rumble?

Region 4 duals will be held at Central.
