A kid that placed 3rd in Iowa this past year. -
With all of this talk of getting clubs together, I would like to invite any aforementioned clubs/clubmembers with a valid USA card up to Trinity on 4/23 and 4/25. There are quite a few kids from the area going to Charleston, WV this weekend and this would be a great opportunity to get a good workout and get a different look at some wrestlers you may not normally see. This may be about as close as we can come to a "tournament". For anyone interested the wrestling room at Trinity is in the back of the school at the Marshall Center. Walk around to the side of the building to the stairs and that leads right into the room. Mon.- 4/23 6:00-7:30 Wed.- 4/25 6:00-7:30 Any feedback?

plee, I believe he was the youngest wrestler to make the Olympics ever(gymnasts, I know have been younger). Just Wrestle, Nate won a Bronze in the Olympics at 149.5 The Russians had a stud at that time that won 6 world and 2 Olympic titles named Arsen Fadzaev. Nate Jr. just won a NJCAA title for Iowa Central (he originally signed with WVU and may still end up there).

Not sure about high school other than he wrestled in Pa. For the Olympics he was 114.5 and did not place. He was an AA(5th) for UK in 1977 at 126 lbs.

Fletcher Carr coached at UK. Jimmy Carr made the '72 Olympic team after his Junior year of high school. Nate Carr was a 3x national champ for Iowa St.

grappler-of-old, The rankings have been around at least since the late 80's. I graduated in '91 and the rankings were being done then. Not sure who was in charge at that point.

The guys are just matching up and getting after it. No bout sheets.practice environment. Monday went well and Wed. ought to be even better with the guys coming over from SouthEnd. Everyone is welcome from other clubs. Come wrestle with guys you don't normally see. Also, we are going to extend this type of practice to Thursday April,26th. We are tentatively planning a weeknight "tournament" in the next 3 to 4 weeks. No details just yet. I'll keep everyone informed. -
Team state Champions with no individual champs??????
CoachBrown replied to archibaldhumperdink's topic in 2008 Season
'89 Trinity- 3 finalists, no champs. In '90 Trinity had 3 champs and placed 2nd. Campbell had one champ and 8 or 9 go for 3rd to win it. Depth is the keyword. -
