Junie's Brother Robbie, in next Ultimate Fighter
BiggieD275 replied to FalconWrestling's topic in 2009 Season
i seen the roster for the ultimate fighter on yahoo a while back, and he wasnt on it, so he most likely lost his first match to get into the house. but if i'm correct he fights at either 135 or 145, so he had to bump up to 155 to try out for the show. not too shabby to even make it that far considering he bumped up -
believe it or not it was actually caldwell who lost the team point. he started his celebration prematurely. it was a great match. i love to see the underdog come thru but i didnt even root for caldwell at first b/c i thought it was a for sure thing for metcalf to win

duh, i completely forgot about neil lol my bad.

Brad-3X Craig-1X Kyle-1X Austin-1X Who else has won it? I'm pretty sure it was only six titles between these four. I know there is also josh who would have won it (most likely) his senior year. Kevin I'm sure will add to the count. Who was the 7th?
-
10 state championships is a lot, but the coopers have 6 between four wrestlers. thats MORE THAN HALF of what the ervins have with half as many wrestlers, and kevin placed 3rd as an 8th grader, so im sure he'll add to that list as well.

AMEN!! i know in a lot of peoples opinions the best state finals match they ever saw was at heavyweight in '01. the final score was like 18-13 or something crazy. i was there, it was definately the most exciting match i ever seen
-
i am a little bias, some people dont understand how much technique is actually involved in those low scoring matches. and also isnt "sticking" your opponent kind of the point in wrestling, thats probably why a pin scores the most team points. my matches were always exciting to watch in a lot of peoples opinions. "almost always throws", are you kidding me? sorry if you think throws are boring

Best wrestler never to win a state championship?
BiggieD275 replied to bluegrassbrawler's topic in 2010 Season
Curt was a stud too, he never won it. i believe he lost to kyle cooper (SK)in the finals, but he beat him every other time they wrestled i believe, i know he beat him at regionals the week before, just lost when it mattered the most -

blevins placed at state. lost in Ot to baker in semis, he tooled him two weeks before state but didnt wrestle his best in that match. he beat the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th place guys that year, but ended up sixth. what school did you wrestle for? -
people need to watch out for Tyler Hardtke if he decides to wrestle in ky in high school. the kid is an animal
-
i cant find any updated brackets but i know ruschell lost to kyler from army 5-3 i believe it was in the final seconds of OT
-
it depends on what conference you are in, some conferences qualify more wrestlers than others. i believe the top 8 in each weight class qualifies for nationals from the big ten
-
i dont know where the other kid got his pin but bebop's was in the concolation bracket, i dont think the pins in the conso's can qualify for the fastest pin award

I chose to wrestle heavyweight because i felt i could do better there, despite weighing in at 212 on the final day of state. i would wrestle 215 at dual meets if it meant our team had a chance to win the dual, but knew when it came state time i wanted to be heavyweight. It was always the smaller heavyweights i had trouble with, and usually could beat the big ones
