Did nobody read the article? This wasn't taken out context or blown out of proportion. This kid did not do a "butt drag". A butt drag is a completely normal, non controversial anything. He was intentionally INSERTING his fingers DEEP into the ANUS of other wrestlers. That is not a butt drag. He was intentionally causing pain. Not that pain should be avoided in wrestling but not in this manner. At least lets hope that the only reason he did it. Because when the other wrestler has it done to him over and over in this manner, it's very possible that the wrestler under question has a lot more problems going on upstairs than this single act indicates.
And I don't know about you guys but I would never bring this topic up to a non-wrestler and tell them "this is silly. It's just an accepted move'. Because it isn't and that would give this sport an even worse image in the eyes of people who are not involved in wrestling and set us back even further. This kid went way too far and should be, in some way, disciplined. Plain and simple.
He could at least have bought the other kid dinner first or something.

I'll make an appearance on here just for the sake of saying that I miss the "infamous" ones. Like Duncan and Liebrum. lol. Those were some good times. The infamous Duncan Caddell, anybody remember that?
-
Very sad to hear this. He was a very smart, hard working, dedicated person.
-
Dan Trejo is gonna sweep 103
-
His mom called me yesterday and told me the news. He was one of the best friends I ever had. There aren't alot of people like Billy.
-
They need to get Baby D back
-
Some kid in the background calls him "Kyle Tittie" at 31 seconds. lol
-
What exactly happened in the Lampe match?
-
It's hard to sit out, even if you're injured, your senior year. No matter how bad it is, you don't wanna be the one to decide your wrestling is over. I hope he doesn't get to hurt if he comes back. But my hat is off to him from atleast trying to return if he does. Good luck.
-
Easier said than done. Have you seen him? Whew. Muy caliente.Danger, it really is time for you to get over your John W. crush...and move on. He simply doesn't swing that way man. :-D
-
You already know what i'm gonna say. John Woo. Head and shoulders above the rest. Not including college careers. In high school, he was the man. Plain and simple.
-
Yeah. Lampe is a real wrestler. True dedication and skill. I hope to see his hand get raised under the lights this year.i have faith in lampe he has beat broussard from senaca twice....and i remember last yeear everyone saying that broussard was going to win state this year
-
Bryce Peyton lol
-
This is the first i've heard of this. I guess it's time to kick myself for missin' Mallory in evening wear.
-
Somebody should've looked up and yelled "DEF LEPPARD SUCKS" lolEvery team will occasionally have that one parent from hell. This year Ryle has one. I saw the Ryle and Trinity coaches actually laughing about it after the "ufc" rant
-
It all boils down to whatever kid should be able to wrestle for whoever. I know that wrestling has team awards and championships given for accomplishments they achieve but this is an individual sport. It doesn't matter if you lose to Hall whether he wrestles for Ryle or some Michigan school. If you get beat by Myron, you lost to Myron, whether he wrestles for Trinity for elsewhere. These are kids. It's a sport. Take the politics and technicalities out of it. It's the simplest, purest sport there is. Why cloud it with all this fighting over things that don't really matter to anyone unless they have a serious grudge against a certain school. We just have to deal with the cards we're dealt as far as the rules and bending them goes but it all really doesn't matter in the long run. Let this die. This thread should be locked or deleted or whatever. It's taking attention away from other, more productive topics.
I'm done reading all this. It's terrible that our sport has come to this and ALL BECAUSE OF A 7TH GRADE CHILD!!!!!

The spoiled parent you're talking about is a decent, hardworking man who cares about giving his boys the best he can, both in wrestilng and academics. He's been around the KY wrestling block and knows what he's talking about and is involved with and friends with many other bigs named families and schools around the state. I tried not to get to into this topic but you are a sad character. You want to be right at all costs, even if the facts and conditions aren't there. Give it up. Go outside. Check out the snow.Oh please. This is not about public and private. It's about a spoiled parent who gets on here and types he is "irritated" by the Hall situation. Workhard stated he was "irritated"! I am only pointing out the duplicity of his comments. If you can't understand that point then lock yourself out.
I have nothing against the catholics. In fact, I may even be a catholic. Or at least I know I have a catholic in my family tree somewhere? I am "irritated" a St X parent complains about Hall living in Ryle's district and wrestles when St X allowed a kid who lived in another state to cross the river daily and wrestle for ST. X. Of course, they paid tuition!
Was the St. X parent "irritated" when the Indiana resident took 4 gold medals from Kentucky residents? I doubt it. The only lame comment this parent offers is Knable's parents felt the Indiana schools didn't meet their standards. I am irritated a parent would even comment about Hall's situation. He does live in Kentucky at least.
-
What was the Hall score?well just stating the guy i posted about has only lost to mark hall, myron bradbury brocco (but revenged the loss) kaelin and pike i never said he should be moved up but i was just letting it be known
-
I'm with you. It's strange how everyone on here talks about wanting to see KY wrestling grow and get more competitive with other states but when someone gets to that level and is dominant, everyone wants to spite and down them. It's pitiful. I liked Coty Lewis, too. I felt for him when people did him like they did.Bo, i don't hide myself either. I want everyone to know how i feel. I am Bradbury fan, nothing against Hall. I've watched him for years along with his brothers. The Hall thing has people upset because he plans leave KY when he enters high school. How many teams over the years have benefited from having someone transfer in from another state and help their program without knowing if he would stay or not? Like it or not, if i could have an athlete like Hall or Bradbury that was only going to be here for two years i would be thrilled. By the way, if i left anyone like Coach K of St. X., Knable, Travis Sullivan, and others off the list that have been great influences for KY over the years I am sorry. Ky needs more good exposure in the sport throughout the nation.
-
:-oI would say that 152 is no longer a done deal with Coyle beating Johnson 5-0 yesterday
-
I think you guys took my post a little too seriously. I know he helps the team. I told Bryce last season that the off-season would be the deciding factor in him becoming what he wants to be in wrestling. Ceron went way out of his way to help support Bryce in his efforts and it has clearly paid off.
-
Actually, C-ron just pisses them off enough to want to hurt somebody. Then they win. lolI thought the ONLY reason your wrestlers ever got better was C-Ron. kidding
-
Jake Maupin mangled O'Leary when they wrestled. Should swap those two out.
Hopefully none of you guys do what this California wreslter allegedly did ...
