Kentuckywrestling.com HS Rankings Pre-Season 2010/2011 - March 16
kywrestler123 replied to Ranger123's topic in High School Rankings
Does anyone know for sure if Justin Lampe will follow is brother to St.X or will he go to another school? If he is indeed going to St.X, that is the reason he did not wrestle--most likely place--in high school states this year, as private schools are not allowed to use middle school wrestlers. -

Ranger i would first like to say that on the hole your rankings feel really good. really darn good but i do have a probe with the 130 rankings. the problem is that kid from stX has doen nothing to bbe on sdl this list. i have seen him lose to bradnon scott from meadeee county on m,ultiple ocxcasions. I seent it. this mead kid is rufthless. and the stx kid just isnt. im sorry./ he feels really good but he just isnt rough enough on the mat. i think in time he will come into his own but not now peace homes -
This would not even be close. Myron is a monster. should have gotten MOW this year

While i have never attended this camp, Sasa Petkovic trained with the United States Greco team at the olympic training center for many years and at one point in his career he was ranked #4 in the nation. His father who will also be a technician at the camp, was a coach for the USA Greco team for a number of years. I gathered all this from doing a little research on my own. From my point of view this sounds like a solid camp.

some teams dropped out but not most. Many of the brackets had 10-12 wrestlers in them. I think the JV state tournament is a very good thing to have as it allows younger wrestlers to gain valuable experience agianst wrestlers from around the state whom they may not get a chance to see elsewhere. It is also good for the fans as we get a chance to watch who is up and coming. There are quite a few good JV wrestlers who just happen to be stuck behind a great varsity guy. So who saw any JV guys that will be able to crack the varsity lineup and make an impact at the regional or state level next year?

I know that most of the schools in Jefferson county and counties nearby are having a snowday today. I was just wondering if there is a KHSAA rule that states whether teams can practice on a snow day? And if so what are the restrictions

at which school is this dual being held?
-
beast of the southeast letcher county
-
HOskinson will most likely be back at 103 if he makes it back down the lower wieghs should be pretty beast hoskinson 1st or 2nd at region severs 2nd and honeycutt 2nd that should score a lot of points
-
are you kidding me? i see andy lenz as a top 3 placer next year. He gets out there and just goes he takes people down and is tough as nails ( i know this having wrestled him this season at our duals and at the five star) lenz is also pretty strong for a 112 i mean he's no ross carpenter-fraser but he has some muscle. all i can say is watch out for him bc he will come back better next year

I was in no way saying St.X should be ranked higher.... they are prolly overrated as they only have 1 guy in the top 10. but when you get spanked by a team that is that bad i dont think you should be ranked #14 -

Did you consider the Beast of the Southeast Results in your team rankings? If so i was just wondering how Letcher County Central and Sheldon Clark can be ranked so high when they were basically curb stomped by St.X? Saint X placed every wrestler and had 2 champions and 4 runner ups and they arnt even a top team this year. So i guess what im getting at is how can they get stomped by such a bad team and one of them still be 14th. I mean seriously look at the results. the only team within like 50 points was DB (from tennesee) anywho sorry for the little rant. i apprieciate the rankings as always andi would like to thank you for your time because everything looks good. -
Martin was at 125 but he plans on wrestling 119 this year
-
terminating 103 would be a terrible idea. That wieght class is what brings a lot of young athletes into the sport becaus eit gives them a chance to compete even if they are light. I think they should bring back the 98lb class and add in a 240. but thats just my opinion

which region will be the most competitive?
kywrestler123 replied to meadecowrestler's topic in 2008 Season
Even though trinity has won region 4 the past two years it has always been very competitive with seneca trailing by just a few points. This year trinity is the clear favorite but i wouldnt count seneca out. Also st.X and moore have the ability to suprise peopleas they will bemore experienced than in past years. Also central is being way overlooked by everyone. they are always in great shade and have a ton of big strong fast natural athletes. if you give one of central's boys a chance he will put you to your back and the match will be over in a heart beat. Im just saying that with teams like this region 4 is always up fro grabs -
Jonny Wolsiefer vs Isaac Knable or Kyle Rushell vs Isaac Knable (freshman year 112)
-
I think saint x is being a big underdog comming out of region 4 may suprise some people this year especially in duels. from what im hearing they look to be a pretty solid dual team and if they get some big matches and dont give up pins upsets could follow. keep an eye on saint x

Kentucky Junior Varsity State Wrestling Tournament
kywrestler123 replied to thomam's topic in 2007 Season
i think coaches should be able to send up to 2 wrestlers per wieght class because JV is all about gettin matches right? i also thik that to get to JV State wrestlers should have to compete in a JV regional tournament and place 4th or higher -

umm you have zac brown ranked at 103 and 112 did you do this on purpose? or was it a mistake? and if it was a mistake wat wieght is he suposed to be ranked at? -
yeah you guys might think im crazy but i would take Jarvis Elam ove Bradbury any day. I mean Jarvis is just so quick and strong and experienced. Jarvis has also been working his ass off this summer so you can expect him to come back ready to go. In my opinion Jarvis should be the favorite for state champ at 103. plus Bradburry had like a broken arm or somthing this summer so he hasnt been able to wrestle as much as other people. but my point being Jarvis is better than Johnson and Bradburry

What team will have the most placers next year, and what will they place?
kywrestler123 replied to pridewrestler's topic in 2007 Season
i like this except i would have dan smith placing 3rd or 4th and Jarvis Elam placing first over Myron Bradberry. Bradberry is very good but i dont think he will be able to handle Elam this year
