    Sulllvan lost to Spencer...

I saw very little "wrestling" between Sullivan and Spencer. Stalling, fleeing, poor starts, bad form, and a generalized boring match. It reminded me of a basketball game between University of Cincinnati and UK many years ago. UC were the gross underdogs so their strategy was to stand at the half court line and pass the ball and stall. For 38 minutes we saw UC do nothing but stall therefore very few points were scored by either team. UC kept the score close but were in no way as good as UK. Their strategy, keep it close then try to beat UK in the last 2-3 minutes of the game. UC lost. After that game, NCAA changed the rules limiting the offensive team to 45 seconds to score. This was done in order to make the game offensive and more exciting. Spencer's strategy was very similiar. He kept it close by stalling and won it at the end. Great strategy, yes, great wrestling, absolutely not.

Let's look at Harrison's trip. Pin, Pin, 15-0,16-0,Pin. Did he even have a point scored against him? That is OUTSTANDING in my book and the coaches agreed. Justin Davis beat the number 1 & 2 to win state. Congrats to Spencer, he is tough, his glory will live forever as he toppled the great Travis Sullivan. Just like DC Evans blew the chance to topple the King. Harrison Courtney is the greatest and most outstanding Ky wrestler I have ever seen.

Let me put things in a different perspective. There were 5 seniors ranked in the top 20 at 112 throughout the entire state. So, tell me again why this fellow should have been MOW.

    Courtney vs Ervin

Not so! Beau took an absolute butt whoopin by Isaac earlier. There was no stupid move, I was there and saw the match. They wrestled in a cafeteria at one of the Lexington schools (lafayette or tates creek). Beau was on his stomach in the third period and Isaac did a leg lace and arm bar and walked around and did a figure four of the head. Pinned baby, out went the lights. In Beau's defense, his wrestling partner was involved in football and Beau was in very bad shape. Isaac completely dominated Beau because he was in much better shape. That's it, nothing else. Beau got in better shape and looked great at state. 3 months can change alot. Beau was clearly the better of the 2 wrestlers down state.

    Trinity 3rd Place?

He may have tapped out and i dont agree with that but it isn't right to call him a cheater. Wrestler07 you are not making sense. He may have tapped out but he didn't cheat....hmmm

    Trinity 3rd Place?

You may call it entertaining, I call it disgusting cheating. Bullock was robbed of a medal, little entertainment value in my eyes. Trinity has so many great kids, an excellent coaching staff and overall top notched program. Why their coaching staff would allow a few rotten toilet turds to polute their great reputation defies logic.

    Trinity 3rd Place?

Ok Midget, let's look at the facts 1. Lafayette's 285 was injured AFTER the tap out squeel. Notice I said AFTER. Therefore, Whiting squeeled BEFORE Lafayette was injured. Try to mentally process this BEFORE and AFTER concept and you will realize the match should have been over if not for the cheating. If you don't fully understand #1 concept, then stop reading and go play in the middle of a freeway. Darwin's theory is anxiously awaiting your arrival! 2. Lafayette's 285 was robbed of a medal. Yes, ROBBED. Given Whiting was pinned, Lafayette would have been guarenteed a medal. Instead, it was stolen. Did everyone forget about the real victim here, it was the Lafayette 285. If you can't understand #2 concept, what are you doing on the computer and why aren't you playing in traffic. 3. Whiting never should have been in the semi's as he really lost in the quarterfinals. He never should have wrestled Fuller. Therefore, your comment about Fuller is irrelevant. If you can't understand #3 concept, you obviously don't understand what is a freeway.

    Trinity 3rd Place?

12345 or should I call you intellectual midget? No reasonable person wishes Trinity ill will. We just don't like the cheating tactics used by some of their big wrestlers. I have noticed, no one is stating Whiting didn't tap out. Therefore, everyone agrees the blubbery Heavyweight from Lafayette in the 1/4 finals squeezed big bad muscular national power lifting champion Jordan Whiting's head so hard, Jordan couldn't breathe and had to tap out. IF you factor that stunt, Trinity SHOULD have been much lower, and if they didn't cheat, some suggest they COULD have placed 3rd. I have a suggestion, why don't you suggest to KHSAA they place footnotes under Trinity's 4th place finish stating, should have and could have!

Johnson Central- Someone clue me in?

I am not so willing to forgive and forget. Once the tide turned and negative comments started being made about Johnson County, all of a sudden, dump truck asks all of us not to bring down all of Johnson County just because of a few people. Normally, I would no problem with doing that, but everyone keeps forgetting about Larue County. ALL of Larue County was being brought down or cast in a shadow because of a few Johnson County parents. No one came to Larue's defense. JCB didn't selectively pick out a few individuals, JCB was negative toward all of Larue, calling them cheaters, etc. JCB should apologize to the Larue's program. Until that occurs, I see last years elementary debacle and this year's middle school fiasco all on the shoulders of JCB and Johnson County.

Johnson Central- Someone clue me in?

No one laid wood to Johnson County. No one gave them the pacifier they were yearning for either. For all of the readers, Johnson County/or their representatives, perfectly illustrated how to be sore losers. Many lessons should be learned from their rotten behavior. They also disgust me. They showed NO CLASS. At a minimum, they owe Jay Yenter an apology, although the irrational usually justify their insanity. During the process of trying to make Larue County look bad, they have made themselves look pathetic. Notice Olympic Wish, "last year's" elementary debacle and "this year's" middle school tournament has a common denominator, JOHNSON COUNTY!

    Taping matches (Dads With Wrestlers)

Ok, you are right. It appears I jumped the gun. In my current aggressive bullying state of mind tonight, I guess I was just trying to pick a fight. You have my apology.

    Taping matches (Dads With Wrestlers)

Bravo myGSP, you can type and paste on a computer. Now, can you read and understand it? It appears you can not. A parent is not a representative of a school, therefore, parents are not under the purview of KHSAA. Is it unsportsmanlike for Danger to videorecord him and Ty Wolfe wrestling and then broadcast it on Youtube.com? I am going out on a limb here, but, I would bet Ty's parents didn't give Danger permission and I bet North Hardin didn't give permission either. Danger was not a representative of a school therefore the recording was legal and ethical. Was there a wrestler wearing large cleats on the mat? Was that your point?

    Taping matches (Dads With Wrestlers)

The perfect example. Go to General Discussion and view "Video of Trojan Invitational Matches". Amazingly, it is a video of a PRP kid and Ty Wolfe wrestling. Did Ty Wolfe's parents sign a consent waiver to allow this video. Did the athletic director allow this. Where is the moral compass on Kywrestling.com condemning this act of invasion of privacy. It is now being broadcasted throughout the world on Youtube. Ty Wolfe is being scouted by Chinese and Russian wrestlers. Where are our legal idiots on Kywrestling.com stating this is illegal. Some people feel this is immoral and wrong. Please don't watch the video and scout Ty Wolfe. Remember, the athletic director says it is wrong.

    Taping matches (Dads With Wrestlers)

They did not do the right thing. I assure you, I would not have left, and if I choose, I would have continued recording. Stating "its greatly frowned upon" is an opinion only. I don't frown upon it. Many people don't frown upon it. Perhaps some do frown upon it. Intimidation and some athletic director blowing air stating taping is illegal is simply incorrect. Once again, it is not illegal for parents to videotape wrestlers. Remember, this is a public activity performed on public grounds. These venues are open to the public! Just because some athletic director used to bullying around students all day long says something is illegal doesn't make it correct. Americans do have rights. When the newspaper reporters take pictures of wrestlers, do they ask parents permission first. No! The child is wrestling in public at a public event. Personally, I believe if a parent is willing to be dedicated enough to videotape competition than more power to them. It least they are interested in their child's sports and not like some fathers sucking down beer at the local pub ignoring their children. Like I said, it is competition. That means competitive. That means out training, out maneuvering, out smarting your opponent. Lets not sugar coat it. If the father is willing to take his time to videorecord, then maybe the child is willing to train a little harder. I believe the act of videotaping is only a mind game played on the mentally weak. I might start videotaping other kids so their parents might start whining and crying and cause their little junior to lose focus and think someone else now has an advantage. Little junior will crack because mommy says the other person stole their strategy and no way can they win. Match over! Junior, just like whining mom and dad, lost the mental edge. OK, I am being a jerk and a bonehead. But really, what is the big deal. If someone is being videorecorded, be honored that someone thinks of you as a worthy opponent.
