hey u know what the big reason for everyone cheering against woodford is not because they are bad sports, though i admit there are some bad sports who have worn the yellow and black. the majority really good guys and u would know that if you would talk to them.woodford wrestlers may look like bad sports when they walk off the mat crying or angry but you have to realize that no one in the state has put more of their lives into the sport than these guys. during wrestling season in woodford wrestling is your life whether you like it or not you r pushed to your limit physically, mentally and emotionally. im sorry for sounding arrogant earlier but i am very confident that my boys will win again. ive been there and i was not arrogant acting in my entire career but when everybody in the state is against you everywhere you go, you develop a bit of a chip on your shoulder. i will say when you win and everyone is booing it is a lot better than when you loose and everybody is cheering.

o did he literally run out of gas. he must have been close to empty before he wrestled i guess he should have filled up before the match. i have to admit from the looks of things he does look out of shape but the same thing was said about him last year and look what happened (state champ). i believe the same thing will happen again.

you may be right about that but u better believe the coty will be in top shape when he comes to the state tournament he has more experience than voth and is far from a long shot. if coty is in shape he is the best wrestler in the state. i think he will be in shape and he will win in the finals agianst your boy voth. although that will be a rematch of the region 7 tournament. I guess well have to see how it turns out.

Larue and fern creek have a chance and larue is a better dual team but woodford will show in two weeks that they are the best tournament team once again. they may have some really weak spots but the 4-5 state champs and few other state placers will definitely pick up the slack. you have a good point that thos two r in the running but i believe they will be fighting for 2nd place when it is all said and done.

i think woodford will be a big surprise when they win it for the 3rd time in a row.

i agree parks will win it, his technique is just too good.

also if i can remember correctly Rusty Parks from Woodford County(who had some of the best technique this state has ever seen) lost to Henry Clay's Tyler Sexton in the finals of the region 7 tournament and then came back and won state.

no doubt the region that will have the most state champs is going to be region seven. youve got matt byrd, coty lewis, shane parks, harrison courtney and will starks who are all atleast going to have an enourmous shot at winning state and they are all on the same team let alone in the same region. you have a few others on woodford that could make a run at the state title like blake sheehan and steven butler. Also in the region you have voth at 125, and if coty for some reason doesnt win, i am sure voth will step in and win it. I predict the Woodford as a team will have more state champions than any region. :wink:

shane parks and cody lewis are two of the quickest in the state. no doubt about that. well cody is in the first period.

matt byrd is my pick for this one he is bigger and stronger than ever. he also is the most technically sound heavyweight and he will run through this state tournament like he did before his injury plagued last season except this year he wont have Scherer waiting on him in the finals.

how could anybody say anyone other than Rusty Parks and Joe Carr they are the best ever in this state and two of the best in the nation there is no competition for them. they take weak little boys and turn them into men and teach them things that they will need in the real world. the only person that will come close will be little Joe Carr who will be tearing this state apart for many years to come.
