    Next year stand-outs??

Wow, I had heard that he was on growth hormones just to weigh 103. Will he be able to gain that much? That opens up a lot at 103 as I am sure most of the wrestlers there were dropping some weight and will no longer be able to make it next season.

    Next year stand-outs??

Top competitors by weight class for next year. Based mainly off from their styles, competitiveness, and my wild guess as to where their weights will be. If only one is listed, I did'nt see anyone else that looked like they could make a run for it with that guy in the weight class. 103

I agree, it is rediculous to boo a kid! I also note from many times watching the state tournament, especially last year, that some teams root on their own team real well. Woodford County for instance cheers "Woodford, County." However, other teams (won't mention names) chant "Woodford, Sucks." This is totally innappropriate and untrue. Woodford does not suck as they have prooved year after year. I would hope this sort of mocking dies out and healthy cheers for ones own team starts being produced.

I agree, I didn't like the legs being thrown in every time you got up. But, sorry to say, he earned every takedown he got. You lost, plain and simple.

I don't know him very well, but from what I could see, there was no "antics and faces" other than those of an injured wrestler. Plus, Zeppa was trying to release and Shoulder's shrugged him off when the leg thing happened, plus at the end, Shoulders put an elbow into Zeppa's neck just after the whistle blew at the end of the match while hitting a sit out.

I don't think this is a true statement as Eric Stamper (NO) beat Proctor earlier in the tournament. Stamper wrestled flat in the third & 4th place match, and got beat back by Proctor. Thus, he was the true #4 and did make it to state. The complete standings were: 103 Warren (FC) Whitehouse (SO) South (NO) Dickens (Eas) 112 Weixler (FC) Bisenius (SO) Rusch (NO) Nocito (Bal) 119 Zeppa (NO) - won by inj. def., but the major damage was done by Shoulders (not a good sport) the round before as he was trying to hurt Zeppa Wood (FC) Shoulders (Eas) Toth (OC) 125 Zeppa (NO) Morlatt (OC) Marks (Eas) Vaughn (SO) 130 Kusnir (NO) Kraft (Eas) Branch (FC) Bollman (OC) 135 Warner (OC) Davis (Eas) Proctor (SO) Stamper (NO) 140 Jackson (FC) Mitchell (SO) Martorana (NO) Clark (Eas) 145 Barger (FC) Hall (SO) McNealy (Eas) Dudley (NO) 152 Wakefield (SO) Mann (FC) Craycroft (OC) Thomson (NO) 160 Wolsiefer (FC) Brimm (Bal) Forbes (NO) Warren (SO) 171 Rupp (Eas) Lasseigne (SO) Waller (FC) Garner (KCD) 189 Houchens (SO) Hardin (FC) Smith (OC) Volz (NO) 215 Chaney (FC) Hartman (SO) Chiba (OC) Hillard (Eas) 285 Mastrovich (SO) Young (OC) Beckett (Eas) Billows (NO)

    Best "Off Season" Camp

The camp that will make a champ out of any dedicated wrestler is J-Robinson 28 day camp. If you push yourself the whole way and don't allow for yourself to get negatives (you have to achieve a certain score by the end of camp to "graduate") you will become a state champ. The camp trains you physically, mentally, and allows you to practice with top notch competition. Only a fool will come out of the camp without gaining new technique. The schedule when I went was: 6:00 - 7:00 in line for running (5 miles or more, bleachers, hills, carrying people, etc...) 9:00 - 11:00 technique training 1:00 - 3:00 hard wrestling practice (no water breaks, not breaking period - all hard wrestling or running) 5:00 - 7:00 hard wrestling practice 8:00 - 9:00 running / weight lifting After 2 weeks you ran a 15 mile marathon and had to be done in less than 2 hrs. Week three was normal again week four was all messed up. You had to be prepared for anything. You showed up for every time frame with wrestling and running gear. They may run you over to host a hard wrestling practice, or technique, or whatever they thought up. If you truely desire to become a champion, go to the J-Robinson Intensive 28 day camp. Push yourself beyond the wall the whole way through. Notice how Minnisota is always in the top 10 for D1 in wrestling and look to win the championship this year. The camp was designed after the ranger 56 day camp as J. Robinson was a ranger and knows how to train champions.

    Best 103?

I wish I had time to look through you posts as I have seen this over and over. However, since I don't have time, off the top of my head is the following: Favorites:

    Best 103?

What my comment meant is that South is a good wrestler, and has shown quite well on his feet. He needs to learn to move better on bottom (he is already quite a bit better than most jvs) and stick to solid moves on top instead of trying to be like the Zeppas on his team. Even the Zeppas have moved on from weaker leg rides like guilitine and splits to power halves or getting out of the legs and running a simple spiral ride. Anyway, you seem to have your favorites rather than giving each individual a fair shake. We all appreciate your perspective on seedings. I personally believe that Coomes and his gurus have done a better job.

    State Duals

You called out the teams, that in your great and wise opinion, are poor. Some showed to be quite tough. As you keep promoting Union, but Union was not one of the top teams at state duals due to their illness. I wouldn't doubt North Oldham (a team that you called out) which tied for 9th with Union could have beat Union on that day. Sure, Union when healthy would most likely beat North Oldham, but not on that day. Also, Paul Dunbar got second (course you believe that to be because they got an easier pool, but they did beat Woodford on the road to state duals) and only beat the North Oldham team 43 to 26 with North Oldham forfeiting 3 weights against them. That is only 17 points and they were given 18. All I am saying is don't call out teams. Every team that went to state duals was a good team that was trying to get better by getting good competition. No, I don't think this way of seeding will cause a problem. I don't think Woodford is sweating it as they knew it could go against them when they voted the way they did. The coaches do not need to be in the meeting for 2 or more hours trying to seed the bracket. Top four will do just fine. The team that shows up that day will prevail anyway.

    State Duals

I agree that a pool compiled of Larue, Seneca, Trinity, and Woodford would have been a beast, but it didn't exist! And I do not believe a pool that rough will exist as the coaches have agreed to seed the top 4-6. I also disagree with everyone making out that pool 1 was sooo rough. Pool 1 placed 1st, 6th, tie 11th, and tie 13th. Pool 2 placed 4th, 7th, tie 11th, and tie 15th (probably the weakest), Pool 3 placed 2nd, 8th, tie 9th, tie 15th, Pool 4 placed 3rd, 5th, tie 9th, tie 13th. Overall, this is fairly even. I would say pool 1 and 4 were the toughest, but not by much as P1 = (1+6+11+13)/4 = 7.75, P2 = (4+7+11+15)/4 = 9.25, P3 = (2+8+9+15)/4 = 8.5, P4 = (3+5+9+13)/4 = 7.5. This shows that Pool 4 was the toughest, followed by pool 1, then pool 3, then pool 2. This leads me to the teams you called out: PRP was in P4 (toughest), Harrison was in P1 (2nd toughest), and both North Oldham and Sheldon Clark were in P3 (third toughest - which, with 2 of the teams you listed, you would think it would rank lower unless they are not as bad as you make out.)

    Best 103?

I agree Elliot will most likely take state. I have seen South wrestle several of the top six this year. He typically runs close to with them until he does one of two things. 1. He tries to put in some stupid tilt with while riding the legs and gets pulled under or stepped over. 2. He falls over on his back for a weak half or wing. As soon as he is on his back he gets pinned. If (and I agree this is a big if), If he works basics, or solid leg rides on top and learns to move on bottom, he can beat the majority of the top six.

I may be missing people as I haven't looked through the rankings, but here is my best estimate for top 4 103 Martin (Sen) Wood (NH) South (NO) Whitehouse (SO) 112 Demery (NH) Warra (Sen) Reichmuth (PRP) ???? 119 Zeppa (NO) Chui (Sen) Colston (PRP) ???? 125 Fuller (Sen) Zeppa (NO) Mills (PRP Vaughn (SO) 130 Eck (NH) Kusnir (NO) Seeders (Fai) ???? 135 Ashbrook (Har) Poulton (Sen) Thomson (NO) Phillips (PRP) 140 Thomas (Cen) Mitchell (SO) Martorana (NO) Wright (Sen) 145 Sanders (Har) Hall (SO) Dudley (NO) Porter (Cen) 152 Golsby (Hol) Wakefield (SO) Thomson (NO) Brim (Bal) 160 Wolfe (NH) Forbes (NO) Choate (PRP) Wright (Sen) 171 Lasseigne (SO) Haynes (NH) ???? ???? 189 Jones (NH) Houchens (SO) Raleigh (Val) Hagen (Sen) 215 Dockery (Sen) Nickel (Doss) Baker (NH) Hartman (SO) 285 Mastrovich (SO) Ballinger (NH) Brown (Fai) Smith (Val)

    Region 5 PREDICTIONS

Even on an Internet forum it presents a bad image of the individual. 1. It makes the individual look dumb. 2. It adds controversy to their dialog due to misunderstandings and the fact that stupid is irritating. Please do not put words in my mouth, I am not calling anyone here stupid.
