flybody i give you credit for puttin these rankings together but, alot of this weekends matchs shouldve affected these alot but it seems they didnt. i know that duals are alot diffrent from a region tournament. but i find it hard to believe nelson county could finish second in team dual and be ranked dead last for the region tournament. not bad mouthing just my opion

so that means nelson knocked off john hardin. does anyone have results from todays matches?

Just Throwing this out there.... Last year at state i wrestled Tyler Beckett, the hole entire match he was killing me until I caught him in a last second lat drop. I believe this kid could turn some heads this year and i would be willing to bet you will see him in the top 8 come febuary. I have beaten some of the kids in front of Tyler and believe he should be ranked a little higher then 16.

Does anyone know what the process is like, and what it takes to become a offical in Kentucky, i have just graduated and want to still be involved in this wonderful sport?

Please tell me 145 isnt serious... PILE TECHED COXS in region finals last year and didnt even give up a point... Cox will be a good wrestler in the years to come... he isnt going to beat PILE

Where did Derick Lawson go? I thought he was wrestling this year for Doss. Now the rankings have another kid in his place.

Alright duals start in about a week now, so lets get a look at some line ups for this up coming season.

The John Wolsiefer vs. Scott Wheeler match at state was great. It was a shame that it was only in the second round and not on saturday night under the lights. In my opion that was the state final at 160.

I believe they are saying that. Personalbly I know Jaime very well. He has only been wrestling for two years, but has proven himself worthy when it has came down to the wire. You cant say he hasent proven him self when he placed 6th at 145 with Courtney, Sanders, Barger and Thurman in that weight class. He is a great wrestler, and once again Im not saying he will win it all, but if your in his weight class at next years state tournament and see his and your name together, you have best be ready.

Im not saying that Jamie will win it, im just saying that he is just as good as the ones everybody is saying should be that high on the list. Jamie is a natural wrestler and works his ass off day in and day out, trust me Im his lifting partner and hes one of my closest friends.

What do you mean they haven't beaten anybody? :? I don't know about the number 2 guy but Jamie Pile placing sixth in 145 last year wasn't a joke. In the first round he beat Tingle who had beaten him the two times before that, and on February 7th was ranked 9th, then lost to Barger(ranked 3rd), and was knocked down into consolations. Then he defeated James Shinault of Central Hardin in second round consolations, (unranked). Then in third round conslations he beat Joe Woods, Dixie Heights, unranked. Then in 4th round he pinned Mikal McNealy in 2:20 seconds ranked 19th. Then in 5th round he defeated Cory Kress, St. X ranked 6th. Then lost to Barger to put him in the 5th place match where he was defeated 7-2 by Cody Hall of South Oldham ranked 10th. SO you might want to look at what Jamie did as a Sophomore at the state tournament before you say he doesn't belong that high on the list.

What does everyone think about Nelson County? I think they have done a great job these past two years. In the past two years they have had two state placers. 2006 OP McCubbins HWT (8th), and in 2007 Jamie Pile 145, (6th). Coach Detre has done a very good job and is starting a middle school feeder team this year. How long do you think it will take Coach Detre and Nelson County to win the big one, and how do you think next season will go for the and the individuals?

Alright someone go through here and predict Region 2 Finals there are sure going to be some good ones this year.

I've seen film of the 1998 and 1999 seasons, and I dont think any of these guys moves compare to Jason Detres Double Leg.

You can beat that Jaime Pile (145) Nelson County will be up there again. This was only Jamies second year and he placed 6th. He made it to state last year only to go two and out as a freshman. This year he was a sophomore this year, and will be up there in the years to come.
