But hey i hope franklin is tough, it would be nice to see Region 7 one day hold the top spots at state.

So what if a team isnt taken seriously. Just because there not taken seriously doesnt mean there gonna do something great. thats like sayin the detroit lions are always gonna upest everyone because noone takes them seriously. You make it sound like there is going to be an upset in every region. i think not.

it depends on what u weigh in at, not what ur gonna wrestle at. if i weigh in at 125 i can bump up to 130 and that wont change my weight decent. i am totally in favor of wed night duals, it gets you more matches.

what makes u think that in every region there is going to be a shocker?

Paduca sounds like thay have a few wrestlers that can wrestle efficently, but it takes the elite wrestlers on a team to make noise at state. just the way it goes. your just sounding stupid now. compare and contrast kid, union, the Irvins, enough said. ohio co, the boone brothers and thats about it. union, actually has a state title. ohio, i dont think they even have a region title. Its still early in the year, its week 3 tourny wise. I dont think Franklin is ready to steal region 7 yet. they are an experienced team, alot of returners, but imo not experienced enough to knock woodford out for a back to back region title.

Ill say this about travis, he more than once threw me on my head and made me see stars, but i keep him OFF the list because, if u followed him to summer tournys he was always wrestling 125, 130 etc. and then during season he would cut to 103, 2 times in a row then to 112 twice. why go so low if you are what was he 300 sumthin and 0? why no go 125 and show your a real beast. imo strickly. And exactly what PD said that if you took away the kids first move, the throw, the only way you could loose is to stalling calls (shane parks vs travis sullivan 112 semifinal match) but hey like i said he made me dazzed and confused just about ever time i saw him over the summer.

Im going out on a thin limb, and gonna say Josh Johnson. i have always thought his transistions from one move, one scenareo, to another have been crisp, like he knew what was gonna happen way before the shot was ever there. plus he has a killer instinct, what i lack, which is when someone is close to there back, u put them there and end it, if u are close to a takedown, you get it. he has always been able to penetrate and break a wrestler, and he's class act, wonderful family too. I have a feeling him and Caleb Ervin are going to be Kentucky's biggest stars in college wrestling second MAYBE to Kyle Rushcell

im excited, i might actually get to meet some of the greats....again haha. i think the khsaa should put on a state champ reunion, and have the stare champs that are still kicking meet together.

A team is as good as its expectations imo. i mean im not trying to hotdog but im making an example, wofo is suppose to be a good team every year, and when we dont live up to our expectations (state title) every year its hard to cope with. Southern has its own expectations, they take what they can get and make something of it. i mean they are a solid team, thats why coach carr books them every year for yellowjacket tourny, cuz they're solid. im sayin look at someone like zack tucker, my sophmore year i never would have thought that kid would do anything, ever, but after a year of workin with the southern team, he came back last year and surprised alot of people. He put me on my back at my own school, with some of my best friends watching too :x, but im just sayin, dont say (even if it is your opinion) that a team isnt what people would call good, southern is as good as it works. And state finishes are hard to determine if a team is good or not, alot of variables are involved at state.

where is huffines going? u said they have good little guy line up, who are they if u dont care to share.

forreal, he was a blast at the cumberland camp, its really cool to see how close barry and him are.

looks good except someone from woodford will place a every weight class, 103 and 112, we can send every body to the civic center this year IMO.

Trey Gentry is a good football player. you can see him use skills from both sports to make him a better athlete.

not having the fat test would be great, i would be a 4 time varsity starter for wofo co if there were no fat tests.

so back in the good ole days wrestlers were not smart enough stay after practice til there on weight and have the discipline to go home and not eat or drink anything?? thats a major problem i have with new wrestlers. we make em get on weight at practice, then they think its ok to go home and chow down. now given if you can float like i can (usually about 1 1/2- 2 lbs a night on an empty stomach) then you can have a lil to eat, but if your over god dont eat at night

No you hit the nail on the head, thats exactly how it will play out. im just upset people got our lineup in preseason.

how come i went from 119 to 125 when i weighed in at 124 at BGSG?
