  1. i would agree that travis more than likely wasnt mentioned before because of the fact he wrestler at lower weights. that isnt because that is what he weighed either. check his off season weigh ins. he wrestled 125 or 119 i cant remember which. im not downing him for cutting weight, but once you get to 112 the competition is mostly younger less experienced wrestlers. i would have way more respect for him if when he moved up in weight, he actually wrestled there. not that i dont respect what hes done or his accomplishments already but the fact is 119 and 125 are the two hardest weight classes with the most depth year in and year out. winning that many matches there would have definitely more of a challenge and more noteworthy.

  2. a new gym by the name of extreme me has opened up in nicholasville across the street from the toyota dealership on nicholasville road. The class is being held every tuesday at 730 and lasts about an hour. There are also opportunities for private one on one teaching sessions to be held if you so desire. the more of a turn out we have at the class the more classes will be available. the only charge is a membership at the gym which runs around 40 dollars. but that membership also gives you access to all of the other classes the gym teaches too such as boxing and muy thai. if you are interested just comment on this thread with your questions or private message me and ill try and get back to you in a timely manner.

  3. whats all this stuff about john not finishing what he started? did he quit in the middle of the season? im pretty sure he didnt. he wont state, and then he moved on with other things of interest. maybe in his mind being a multiple state champion was just as important as being a single state champion. regardless, he finished his season, maybe not his career, but how many people start something their freshman or sophmore years and just do it for a year? are you going to down them for finishing the season, but not their highschool career in it? i know i wouldnt. at least they tried it, and john happened to be very good at it.

  4. nice try? that was still a ligit statement.

it was a legit statement, but what i meant by nice try was nice try on trying to make me look bad, when the kid i got beaten by placed fifth in the state. he was the toughest 3 seed at the entire state tournament, of that, i have no doubt. anyone that says stephen supe isnt a good wrestler, is lying.

  5. ok i know you said two kids in two different weight classes. so your saying that talking about Harrison and Johnny is not logical, just fun...??? i still think it makes more sense to talk about those two kids who are still wrestling, than to talk about two kids that, one wants nothing to do with wrestling anymore, the other going to college to wrestle, both are out of high school. your beating a dead horse. but thats not the subject, what would be better to talk about, the subject is who would win Harry or Johnny. of course my vote is for harry.

mac you make me so mad sometimes i go blind in my left eye and start to shake...

you said earlier this is dumb and no one should talk about it, yet now you are telling me to get back to the topic at hand. make up your mind man. anyway, toss up match, with wolseifers takedowns getting the better of courtneys tilts and reversals.

  6. im going to throw andrew wrights name out there. he has been in the weight room and wrestling room as much as he can ever since the season ended. his strength will improve greatly, along with his technique, making him a power house at 52 or 45 again next season.

  7. ok harry didnt lose any matches his last two years if im correct. you said these guys are on the same level because of there dedication, if johnny was so dedicated where was his senior year. not looking to fight just making a point. ok johny was at a tourny every weekend, courtney is in the wrestling room mons, and weds, has been since he was in the 6th grade, in the off season...all summer..all fall...wrestles the season only to go back to the room for spring and to start all over in the summer. not to mention he also goes to a tourny  many weekends. and to make a point about kaseys post. ok so your saying it is more logical to talk about two wrestlers that will never meet....ever, than to talk about two kids  one ranked one spot above the other, and both still wrestle??? i give up on you.

first of all, i said two kids in different weights, but one being ranked above the other at another weight. and second, i never said it was illogical to talk about that, or more logical to talk about hc or jw, i simply said it was MORE FUN to talk about two wrestlers a lot of people know of very well. try and up your reading game before posting next time.

  8. I'm "composed" man. It really was just a joke. How many times did Davis take Guiler down? or put him to his back? I just found it funny to make that sound like a close match because I was right there and it really wasn't. Three takedowns(may have been only 2) in a match where the winner had 5-7 takedowns and a pin really isn't that great IMO.

its great when there was no one else this year that took him down. as far as i remember anyways, someone correct me if i am wrong. so for no one else to have taken him down, cody to take him down two or three times in one match, seems like a really good accomplishment to me.

  9. yea its kool and fun to talk about it. but it goes for harrison all the time, or fahy, or zarth, or somebody thats on top. like this is the 4th or 5th time ive seen people talk about how, this person would beat harry or, this person is better on his feet. but inthe end harrison has proven to be the best so leave it alone.

thats because who wants to sit around and talk about a wrestler not everyone knows? why talk about whether or not the 19th ranked kid will beat a 20th ranked kid in another weight. it's no fun, because not everyone knows who those kids are. i will sit around and talk about whether or not a kid on my team can beat a kid on another team with people that know both of the kids, but im not going to talk about it on here. i will however talk about wrestlers everyone knows, such as zarth, courtney, thueneman, or who ever else comes up for discussion. it just so happens, that most of the wreslters everyone knows, happen to be the best, or close to the best in their weight class. thats how they became known.

  10. Well concidering Davis did win state, im clueless on who won?? lol

he was being sarcastic mortal. i found it very stupid to say though, yes davis won, yes he was unstoppable, this year. that doesnt mean when we say something good about another wrestler we are by any means taking away from him. so eaglewrestler, back up a second, take a deep breath, and try to compose yourself. the guys name is region 7 so obviously he supports region 7, which means it was very exciting to him that the only person, as far as i know, to take davis down this year was cody guiler, who is from region 7. he was merely supporting a wrestler from the same region as him.

  11. i see john winning it. he out matches courtney on his feet by a lot more than courtney out matches john on the mat. john was explosive, so an escape would happen, not right away, but it would happen. courtney couldnt hit more tilts than john would hit takedowns in my opinion. three to four points separate the two, with john winning.

  12. And don't say it is insignificant. An 8th grader who weighs about 98 lbs wrestling a sophomore who weighs every bit of 103 is a VERY significant difference.

pat barely weighs 103 pounds now, i doubt he weighed every bit of 103 pounds his sophomore year. besides, i actually don't think that pat started wrestling until his sophomore year, at least not varsity. pats freshman year(three years ago) jon voth wrestled 112, and dunbar didn't have a 103 pounder. so the other statement about pat having more experience at the highschool level is also nullified, because it was pats first year.

  13. Seeding the state tournament is outragious.  The kids have to step up when it matters, or not.  That is the way it is and should be.

i have always hated it when people say that. when it matters most...why doesnt the season matter? no one takes the season seriously, and i wish i knew why. whats so bad about the regular season that makes how you perform in it, not matter? there has got to be some way we can incorporate season finishes and and regional finishes. if not, what makes a regional tournament, any bigger of a win than a seasonal tournament? especially seasonal tournaments like the dragon, or the woodford invitational. if you ask me, more emphasis in seeding or placing seeds at the state tournament, should be placed on winning or placeing at these highly acclaimed tournaments. they are certainly tougher than regional tournaments, unless the best couple of kids at your weight happen to not be at these big tournaments. why should kids that do terrible during the season, but start to do good at regionals or have a fluke win be praised or rewarded more than a kid that has already beaten them three times during the regular season? oh well, i guess thats just my opinion.

  14. 103 - pat milford

    112 - john fahy

119 - zac brown, luke troxell (gotto go with team pride on this one guys  :-D)

125 - myron bradbury over osbourne on this one close call though

130 - no good pick for me here, i dont think palmer will be 30 though, i think he'll be 119 and that puts him behind troxell and brown

135 - maybe demery if he makes weight, other pick is ervin

140 - demery or ervin, depends which one. if both in same weight ervin by far.

145 - josh johnson, if he doesnt move up and stays 140, it will be a dogfight between ervin and him.

152 - grant ohlmann, korey shotwell, and andrew wright all look good to me at this weight. once again, threw in andrew based on the team pride.

    160 - jake lee?????????

    171 - brad hitchings

189 - brad stafford or josh lewis. brad has the edge but not by far.

215 - tyler pace. if he gets his conditioning on track it wont be a contest.

285 - i guess ryan harlow? never know here.

oh and sorry about the aaron carr statement, didnt realize it was an all star team for next year.

  15. i remember one time i tried to hit a move called a super duck under on a jv kid and ended up getting hip tossed and pinned in the first period. that was the second time he was wrestling varsity for their normal varsity kid, i tech falled him the first time we wrestled.
