Where was Eastern at Region 5 Duals?

If you are forfeiting numerous weight classes, why take the team to dual competitions? What kind of rivalries are formed under these conditions? If you are unable to field a full team, the last thing that you would want to do is take the wrestlers that you do have and enter them into an event that they have no chance of winning.

Regions 3,4 & 5; same day, same place, same time

I'm a coach of a region three school. I've heard nothing about this. If this decision has been made I would like to know by whose authority, and why they haven't informed all concerned parties. If this is the way they plan on doing it this year(Western was supposed to host), then I don't really have much to say. But next year when it is Bullitt Central's turn to host the regional tournament, the decision made by an arbitrary bunch of athletic directors will be trumped by the regional school's prerogative to exercise its claim as based on the rotation system that was previously agreed upon.

He couldn't have been a 4th seed. He would have had to beat Salter to get to the finals.

    103

Another one being overlooked is Badgett from BC. He stuck the kid from Lafayette this year. He didn't have a single point scored against him at regions and his only loss @ 103 this year was to Elam by one point. He took 7th last year, and if he beats Bradbury in the second round He WILL be in the finals. If he doesn't beat Bradbury,... I still guarentee that this kid will bring home a medal.

    Region 3 Rankings 02/04/2007

I am anticipating quite a bit of debate on the 145 class, but to be quite honest, I don't see Northington getting the 1st seed simply because he has more losses to regional competitors. I understand that you will reply to this post to tell me that he has beat all the wrestlers that have beat him, with the exception of Rosado, and that he has gotten better and better as the season has progressed, but for the purposes of seeding it really doesn't matter. Rosado and Young each have a single loss to regional competitors, and since the three of them match up against each other like paper, rock, and scissors, the next thing to look at will be regional losses. I believe it will be Young, Rosado, and then Northington, and this is the argument that I'm going to use in the meeting. I'm not saying that he can't win the weight-class, but he definitely won't win the 1st seed.

USA vs. Russia free live broadcast tonight!!

omg... after watching the exhibition matches against China, the question that plagues me is, "couldn't they find a bilingual ref??" You could tell that they did not understand what the ref was saying. It was kind of embarrassing, if China had hosted an event like this I can guarantee that they would have had someone who could speak English.
