Who was the best wrestler in your opinion to never win a state title?
-
Will Starks signed with Cumberland
-
Yes i agree with you totally on that but Woodford is also bringing back a good deal of talent you have Shane Parks , Blake Sheehan, Harrison Courtney, Ethan Miller, and Matt Byrds little borther Zack might slide in the mix somewhere ..... so we have that plus everything we had last year ....
-
119 waas pretty stacked this year to with Shane Parks Matt Zarth John Chiu Bryan Daniels Caleb Wood Josh Johnson
-
I agree with possumdaddy about the 2006 145 lb. class you have Harrison Courtney Patr Banks Rob Aylor Brian Wilson Josh Cooper (until he bumped up at regions) Mitch Ervin
-
i like this setup i think that we should go back to 16 man brackets instead of draggin state out three days . Plus it would mean more to make it to state if you went through districts then regionals, then state just my 2 cents.
-
I think Woodoford is sending some kids
-
Hands down Woodford Co 13 state titles dont lie
-
because Woodford is only losing 3 seniors in the lineup and are returning everyone else from this past year and im pretty sure all of those guys have a good deal of mat experience, so Don't count Woodford out because it seems to be a fact that Woodford is never out of the running for a state title
-
Union County will be tough next year i give em that but In my opinion with all due respect to Union County and everone else I think that Woodford will take it home next year .
-
What was your favorite wrerstling moment during your career wheter it be high school or college ?
-
I put my money on Dalton i mean he was in total control the whole match and nearly had a fall in the finals i think that he has the edge when it comes to technique Sullivan just caught him nappin and capitalized on Dalton's mistake ....... thats my opinion

Team state Champions with no individual champs??????
Who-Want-It! replied to archibaldhumperdink's topic in 2008 Season
I remebr hearing something about a Saint X. team in the late 90's that won a state title with no state champions -
my sig is real
-
I think you should always go out for the pin and end it quick that way you wont get caught and pinned yourself
-
My Top Picks would be like this Richard Starks -Untouchable his junior and senior years Will Starks- Undefeated his senior although The Jones match in the finals was pretty close Kevin Orth- He was pretty tough I actually thought richard was gonna have a hard time with him in the finals. Joe Cooke- from Dunbar was pretty tough i belive he placed 3rd or 4th his senior year

favorite wrestler to watch from a different team at state
Who-Want-It! replied to littleschool130's topic in 2007 Season
Ok you guys are just riding the Thuneman bandwagon Courtney is hands down the better wrestle, and he is mentally sound unlike your hero..I think he proved that at state when the match went into over time and courtney Threw ....yes i said Threw Thuenamen to his back and pinned him ....Courtney is the better wrestler accept the facts -
Joe Carr Jr. And Joe Carr Sr. Now that would be a match

Good Rankings as always keep em comin Ranger  -
IMO I would take Starks over Reid , dont get me wrong but Reid hasnt really done anything to impress me I mean hes beaten some decent quality wrestlers but so has Starks, also Starks is very solid on his feet that is where he would pick Reid apart and wear him down, and I think it would be a very close match on their feet between Wolseifer and Starks because they are both very solid on their feet that one is a toss up

I think that lifting weights plays a role in wrestling but thats not all it takes becaus 99.9% of the time if you put strength against technique ,technique will prevail

I still disagree with you on Thuneman being the better wrestler Courtney wrestled him 3 times this year and always beat him if he takes time to get the "Feel" of his opponenet as you guys say he does you would think he would have by state time but apparently not Courtney is the better wrestler I personally think he has proven that -
Matt Byrds Underarm Spin hands down he throws heavyweights like ragdolls with it, he is truly an animal with it just ask the numerous people he hit it on this year
