The weekend of state duals you have 16 teams participating there and not a whole lot going on elsewhere. The following weekend you have probably atleast 40 teams competing. some of those guys are JV wrestlers just filling varsity spots and not everyone has a ton of coaches to send some to jv state then some to other tournaments. It sucks for those teams at state duals I suppose but it would seem that it would penalize way more kids and coaches if it were on another busier weekend. just my thoughts

Trinity wins Region 4 followed by X. Seneca will do well. reed will be a good head coach but he is no anderson.. that guy is a legend and you don't replace someone like him easy. i think you will see a less quality seneca team in the next year and years after unless they establish a feeder. like I said, Reed will do well but Anderson is a legend and one of the greatest wrestling coaches in KY history. Moore and central will follow those 3 of course.

Sheldon Clark use to do this to kids all the time and they got away with it until coaches started complaining. They would hold them back their 8th grade year. A couple of them won the state middle school championship both their first 8th grade year and their 2nd 8th grade years. The coach even sent out an email to justify holding the kids back., bunch of bull if you ask me. very bad coaching ethics. They got by with it because there was no rule in the kmswa that said a wrestler repeating a grade was ineligible. you can do what you want, its your kid but yes it will be frowned apon and even called down right cheating by a majority of people. I'm sorry for calling out SC but this is common knowledge that people that have been involved in KY wrestling and the KMSWA have known for years. Its not silly accusations. Its the truth.

he beat a 160 pounder 5-0 and your acting like hes going to win the state championship. Now when he fails you and him are going to be crying like babies. You are going to have to console him. So the top teams as far as the pool has listed up there are PRP, Lafayette, Franklin County, and Moore? Hmm, Its almost too hard to make a prediction. I think it will either be PRP or Lafayette to win it all also. With Franklin vs. Moore I think it depends on who fills more weight classes. I know they were both low on wrestlers earlier this season. I don't think they can handle PRP or lafayette Moore and Franklin have too many holes in their lineups. then you also have Oldham who could give PRP a run. Go Redhawks!!

I really don't think 5-0 is destroying someone (Schneider/Newsome). Man you John Hardin guys are running way too much jaws. I admit you guys are good this year but just let the wrestling do the talking. You guys are sounding like the new Southern. haha Go Redhawks!!

Moore beat Southern like 57-22 last year at the HPI. 12 of Southerns points were from forfeits. I think Moore pinned just about everyone of their kids in the first period. It was a mess. As soon as a Southern kid would lose he would go back to the locker room. At the end there was only like the two coaches and a couple wrestlers from southern watching. I'm not sure where the rest were. Pretty humbling though. Yeah but Southern actually beat Moore earlier in the year on tiebreaker points so I heard. Go Redhawks!
