Will Kyle be teaching any freestyle technique?

At the senior level in Greco they do get the option to start par terre. How many times have you turned on a match to see two guys hanging on each others heads and not know what style they were wrestling. The UWW had to make more of a distinction between the two styles and the way passivity is called is one of them. Remember passivity is not the same thing as stalling. Passivity means you are not scoring. I heard many coaches say last week when a guy was hit with passivity "but we just shot, How can we be passive?" It is actually an advantage to be on the clock first. If there is no other score then the other guy WILL be placed on the clock and you would score last. Oh, and the first day, Austin weighed in a little over 240. He came through my scale at weigh ins.

At the body bar women's nationals they had the first ever NCAA sanctioned Greco matches between some colleges in tx. Pretty cool idea to increase the pool of Greco athletes for the world teams.
-
Did anyone wrestle Greco?
-
will you be competing in both Greco and Freestyle?
-
Fern Creek will also be adding two JV State Champs...right?
-
Chad Lampe's brother is a freshman JV State Champ from Fern Creek.
-
Dodd from FC placed at 182 last year. I couldn't open the final version so I don't know if it was fixed or not.

Longest High School win Streak in KY
ccbcdeke replied to Captain America's topic in High School Records
Austin beat a kid last year at Central Regional that was in the finals of the Indiana State Tournament a couple weeks ago too. Add him to your list of State finalist that he has beaten. Keep up the good work. He was the runner-up at 220. -
They went from medals for the top 4 in an 8 man bracket to the top 6 in a 16 man bracket. right? I think that's an ok compromise.
-
You mean to tell me that some POS ref made a few calls that left you wondering what he was thinking while working an entire 16 man bracket or two without taking a break? I bet he has it out for your team too. That sorry sack should be taken out back and drug behind some of those horses.
-
Wow "Coach". That's an awful broad brush you're painting with. I hope you're not teaching your kids to blame the refs when they lose. If you are, Sounds like you're part of the problem.

Longest High School win Streak in KY

Travis Sullivan had a long streak a few years back. Maybe John Fahy. IDK -
there was only one official not able to adjust their schedule to work the postponed tournament. This would have been his first time working State and I don't think they are going to replace him.

Who were the Region MOWS from each Region and.....
ccbcdeke replied to luvswrestling55's topic in 2015 Season
Region 4 was Zane Brown He has been getting a lot of them lately. Great kid. -
Travis Roberts is out for the season. If I was FC, I would put the 145 JV State Champion at 152. FC could have 11 finalist.
-
It would be difficult to move the individual state tournament there but Stat Duels would be possible I would think. Coach McCoy?

Who is the best HS wrestling Coach in the state of KY?
ccbcdeke replied to luvswrestling55's topic in 2015 Season
They do have a coach of the year award at state, right? I guess we will see then. -
I think Trinity still won that weight class though so that wouldn't change the outcome...would it?
-
Fern Creek beat Trinity by 10 at the Gladiator. I'm not sure who either was missing though.
-
I'm pretty sure Nathan was wrestling for Valley at Sectional Duels...
