At 152 there is a guarantee that someone outside of the top 10 in Ranger's rankings will place in the top 6. Jack Fuller is ranked at #11 and is the highest ranked in his quarter of the bracket. So if the rankings hold true, he will wrestle in the simi-finals and is guaranteed at top 6 placement. Sunbom and Shelby ranked 22nd and 23rd both came out as region champs and are in the same quarter of the bracket.

the difference is spelled out in the rule book. Any changes would have to come at the NFHS level first. that being said, I believe there is an option to push the byes to the top seeded wrestlers in Track. In other words, you can seed the top three and any byes would go to the top seeds in order.

I remember seeing Dave Ritchie suplex Todd Adams in a freestyle tournament. That kid had talent. Todd Adams was also a state champ and 2x finalist. Fern Creek had some tough light weights in the 80's. Todd King, Brett King, Todd Adams, Robert Hall, Troy Adams. Then there was 2xer Tim Whitfil and Charles Smith in the 90's. and Caleb Wood in '05. All 126 and below.

in Louisville many of the high schools don't have a single middle school associated with them. There are actually very few that do. For instance, Fern Creek has several middle schools that feed into the high school, like Ramsey, Newburg and others. While others like Moore have a middle school and a high school on the same campus. Some high schools that have wrestling teams, do not have feeder programs either. That is why you have kids that grow up with a club team like Fern Creek never planning on going to the high school, end up going to Male or one of the private schools. Also several club teams have wrestlers from some of the catholic grade schools around town. I guess I'm just saying that the high schools can't always cover the middle school teams.

I like the idea of the girls going first. as an official, I will see if I can push this where ever I am.

women wrestle freestyle in college. it would benefit them to learn that style if they want to continue wrestling after high school.

I saw Sheffer on Campbellsville's board. That just means they are recruiting him. several other KY kids on there including the latest 220 lb Fargo All American. Again, just saying they are being recruited. not saying the kids are interested or going there.

Nationals Dates for those interested UWW Junior World Team Trials will be held in Irvine, TX and is on the same date as Central Regional, May 21-22. UWW Cadet Nationals is in Akron, OH June 3-5.

They must have their camp and then take the schoolboy team straight to Indy for schoolboy national duels. that's good stuff. I just wish they would leave a day earlier and work in some Greco too.

KY State Greco, Freestyle, Folkstyle and Sombo (Ironman) is at Campbell County on May 7th I do believe.

Central Regionals has moved from Indianapolis and is in Kalamazoo, MI this year

Has any other team ever placed 2nd in the region and had 11 wrestlers at state and been ranked as low as Valley is at 63rd? not saying it's wrong or right...just sayin'
