All the top contenders had holes in their line-ups. Some permanent like LaRue (215) and JC(103&125) some temporary-Trinity and UC that should be full strength in Frankfort. Ryle seemed to be in the best position from that stand point. Give it up to LaRue for putting themselves in a position to have success when the opportunity presented itself. State is wide open this year. Who is putting themselves in a position for taking the title this year? Next few weeks is separation time from pretenders to contenders.

Any updates? I thought someone said it was going to be on-line but, I can't seem to find it. Of the 3 schools wrestling in the Bluegrass, I think LWC has done the best job of endearing itself to Kentucky wrestling.

12 Kentucky boys in the finals. I prefer to think Kentucky wrestling is improving than the quality of this tournament is declining.

If you are going to "leave morals out of it", you should entertain the idea of dropping the coach part of your member name. Giving you the benefit of doubt of reading previous post, I think you may have been over zealous in wanting to defend a kid and his father that don't need defending. If there's an issue here, it is with academics and not wrestling. It would be a shame if he were unable to qualify academically and colleges were throwing scholarships at him. Even more troubling for us is that KY standards for a 7th grader are not equal to Minnesota's.

? Doesn't hardly seem fair to the kid who won his 1st wrestle-off or someone just returning from a injury if they don't qualify for regions because they don't have the matches/weigh-ins. I guess you coaches will have to start weighing guys in even if they don't compete.

We're on the same side here. Some are motivated with encouragement and some are motivated with a challenge. If it promotes wrestling, I am all for it.

I don't know. Are 7th graders competing with the quick recall, debate teams, or, in the marching bands? These are extra curricular activities that should be viewed the same has high school sports relative the school's mission.
