    Courtney?

NAIA doesn't always mean a lower level of wrestling. Sometimes the better wrestlers are at D2, D3, NAIA schools for other reasons. Sometimes amazing wrestlers can't academicaly make it in college and have to wrestle JUCO. Lindenwood is a NAIA school who wrestles a D1 scheduel and is very competitive with them. D1 guys get beaten by wrestlers from other divisions all the time, even highly ranked D1 studs. I saw Mark Perry from Iowa get majored by an NAIA wrestler.

    Martin placed at Missouri Open

I misunderstood what you wrote, I thought you were talking about Stephens, but you meant Olanowski. Yeah, he's amazing, he's a senior that transferred from Missouri this year. If he does make it back, he probably won't be going 125.

    Martin placed at Missouri Open

Elliott is not red shirting this season, he beat out senior 125 Danny Morreale at the LU open. John Olanowski was dropping to 125 but broke his foot last weekend. The guy that won at 133 was Ray Stephens, he is the 133 not 125. Stephens is the defending national champ at 133, and yes he is very nasty. With Morreale out, Martin is the number 1 man at 125.

    112 vs. 119

i just can't agree, martin beat zarth as well. he was the better wrestler imo. millers win was 1/100. i mean did miller wrestle car this season? Elliott beat him 11-6, and them 12-0. anyway i don't really think it really matters, they have both completed their careers, both good wrestlers, but they won't ever wrestle each other again.

    112 vs. 119

martin destroyed spencer, and them pinned him at state duels, and that was the day he was sick and lost to miller. What does that say about 112?

    what happened at nationals?

As far as seniors go we didn't have any all americans but we did well. Elliott Martin and Mason Reid were closest to placing. Martin went 2-2, making it to the 3rd round of the winners bracket where he lost 2-0 to the california runner up, he hit a peterson at the end and was awarded no points(the same thing that happend to harrison courtney last year). Mason lost 5-4 in the second round after teching in his first round match. He beat some tough kids in the wrestle backs. They both went out in the same round. Elliott was offered a scholarship to Lindenwood in St. Louis where he will be intending. I'm sure Mason was given some offers as well.

    112 vs. 119

martin was sick the time miller beat him. he wrestled to help the team try to win the duel. he had been vommiting all day. they wrestled twice before that. miller got pinned once, and lost 7-0 the second time at wci. the fact the martin went into double overtime with him wihile very ill was very impressive, miller is a tough wrestler.
  9. Who is going to natinals? we need to start planning and training now, we could make some noise there this year. Last year we had one senior go to senior nations(Ben Warner), that is pathetic. Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior nationals are all march 26-28 in virginia Beach. Senior nationals are March 28-30. These are the seniors who are eligable that I know of: (must be a sate champ or runner up in your carrer, NHSCA junior all american, or top 4 at NHSCA pre-season champions for senior nationals) These requirements only stand for seniors, anyone can go to freshman, sophomore, and junior nationals(that means you state placers!) 103-Jarvis Elam 112-Corey Spencer, Travis Sullivan(Please go travis, you could make some noise for our state) 119-Elliott Martin, Ethan Miller 125-Shane Parks, Jon Voth 135-Matt Miller, Zach Pulton (placed 4th at National Pre-Season Wrestling Championships for eligability) 140-Bryan Peace 145-Beau Sanders 152-Sammy Isaac 160-Mitch Ervin, Blake Sheehan 171-Mason Reid 189-Mark Jones 215-Matt Green, Adam Dials 285-Anthony Bailey

Why does South Oldham shake their coaches hand first?

Many other states don't shake hands withthe coaches, i'm not sure how it got started here.
  15. I just don't see this kid hanging with Reid. This kid may be awesome but I assume he was a champ in freestyle. I'm sure that he is not at the level in folk style that he is in freestyle, it takes time to make the transition. Reid is seriously among the best in the nation and should be nationaly ranked if he is not already. Reid will come out on top if they match up.

    WCI

Sorry but lets be honest, the crowd does not determine whether a call is good or bad, the officials do, I think they are more qualified. The HC fans were on the the other side of the gym and could not see what really happend. Zarth came close to reversing Martin, Martin locked on his ankle to force a stale mate. Zarth was never awarded control, so it is impossible to award any points, because he did not have any control. Martin is a smart wrestler, he did this on purpose to force stale mate, he knew he was in no danger, if he was he would have bailed, he isn't stupid. It was a good call, this is the way it would have been called in any other state or in a college match. That is what happend, there is no argument, both officials obiously knew this was the case as well as the wrestlers. But you didn't mention the fact that Martin turned Zarth to his back and go a two count from the officials, its on the tape, and he recieved no back points, the crowd also booed alot about this. Martin will win by more points next time they wrestle.

    Who will stay undefeated?

Who do you think will have an undefeated season(in Kentucky)? I think it is going to be a year of domination. I don't see any of the following wrestlers losing a match: 103 Myron Bradbury 112 Travis Sullivan 119 Elliott Martin 140 Bryan Peace 145 Harrison Courtney 160 Mitch Ervin 171 Mason Reid

    Union County?

I believe the 160 defending state champ from Flyod Central will also be there, I think whoever wins 160 will get MOW.

    Who will stay undefeated?

I don't think Elam will ever beat Myron. Myron is a controlling wrestler, he may not score big points on tough kids but he can get a lead and hold on to it, thats just his style. Myron is an excellent rider and bottom is were Elam is lacking, he gets riden by good wrestlers. Myron has some close matches but he wins them.

    Who will stay undefeated?

Agreed, he has also lost to Voth already. Martin, Carr, and Daniels are the only top 119's still undefeated(to in state opponents). I'm not to sure about Justin Davis, him and Pulton have are split 1-1 (Pulton winning the more recent match) and they will most likely wrestle in the WCI finals this weekend.

    Shawn Johnson Vs. DC Evans

Shawn Johnson was beating Evans 10-2 yesterday and then pinned him... This was at 125 how does the wrestling world feel about this?

    12-22: Rumble In The Hive

I didn't like how they had MOW in each weight class because there weren't enough big matchups to do that. I think Elliott Martin was without a doubt the MOW for pinning Demery in 59 seconds. That was an impressive win to me because Zarth has had a close match with Demery, i think with a 1 or 2 point difference in the score.
