  1. Much better.  Just weathering the storm actually.

The feedback about McCoy, Ashbrook, The Muncy's is all great and I agree Eric Burrell is doing great also. Another one is Don Graven (Cov. Scott). That's what the whole intention was.

And I think you've forgotten I was along side helping Joe Carr and Joe Carr Jr from 2009-2014..So I've been working with these kids for a long time. I even helped in 2007 and 2008 because my brother was on the team still.

I want to hear more about the great coaches we have in our State..

And I forgot to mention Steve Kaiser.

  2. If you only saw what we do for and with these kids, then you could speak, but you have no idea.

    It's a thing called "passion"

    Not cockiness.

Stop trying to bash everyone, all the time.

You run people away from this site when it should be something positive and fun. Give it up already.

  3. I think Kentucky wrestling is definitely on the uprise. More schools with wrestling helps, but more kids becoming interested because of their idols or people they look up to (ex. Kyle Snyder, Jordan Burroughs, Kyle Dake, etc..) having success on the Senior level.

I thought it was crazy that they would not allow us to sit out camp flyers or camp information at the state tournament. That is a great way to help grow the sport even more. I had about 100 flyers thrown away by a Khsaa member on the first day of state. (waste of paper)

Young coaches are also helping grow the sport!!

I would like to see the statistics on our young coaches in the state.

    In my (Parks) 3rd year as head coach at Woodford Co. my results look like this;

    16 State Placers

    3 State Champions

    3 All Americans

I'm curious to see the stats on guys like Josh Johnson, Chris McCoy, Scotty Teater, Andy Critchfield, Jarvis Elam (not sure if he's the head guy or not), Josh Ashbrook and other young productive coaches in our State.

  4. November 30th (Wednesday night)

Woodford Co is hosting our season opener at home. We are looking for 3 other teams who are very competitive to really kick off the 2016-17 wrestling season!! Like a lot of other sports, that season opener is always fun and exciting. We will start around 6:00pm, wrestle 3 rounds and should be done fairly early. If you are interested please contact Coach Parks.

  5. We are looking for a few more teams to complete the field for the 2016 Woodford County Invitational. This has been one of the best tournaments for the past 20-plus years in the state of Kentucky. The competition level is very high and in order to be the best you have to beat the best! The large group of teams that have attended the past few years will still need to confirm their teams spot.

If you are interested, or have any questions, please contact Coach Parks at parkswrestling1@gmail.com
