Lets just put it this way. Both last years HWt final and this year were similar. Woodfords hwts worked the opponent around the mat and had the opponents gassing in the 3rd period. Kudos to Byrd who could have won big but wrestled conservative so he didnt do anything stupid!!!!

It would be real tight but you have to remember 50% of kids are going on Spring Break that next day

I think it was a good call no matter who your for or against. Shane clearly had control and Voth wasnt trying to improve his position. he locked up the crotch and held it hoping they wouldnt call the takedown. Even if Voth would of won it was an excellent match. Come to think of it the majority of the matches were pretty darn good. What about Ashbrook and Griggs???

Word around regionals had it that coty got a concusion early in the 2nd period. It most definately showed b/c it looked like coty didnt want to wrestle

At 145 it should be Courtney #2 but it is a throw up of who is going to win it here. It could be any of the 5 listed

Eventhough Starks is 189 i think he could bump to 215 and win state. Just my opinion. HE is just as strong as any 215 out there and twice as quick.

Forfeit??? Are you crazy... and to save the embarassment... All i have to say is that Larue Co. squeked by with a win. If i was Canter i wouldnt be satisfied. Everyone knows LArue got lucky. You could have LArue and Woodford Co. duel 100 times and i think it would be 50/50 but in tournament format i see no way that Larue will win.

Valley it is hard to say anyone is going to win right now....especially in HWT. IF you think about it there are about 5 wrestlers at that weight class that are capable at being at the top of the podium when state rolls around. Mike Clark, Kyle Goodrich, Hardin, Hall, possibly Burdin

Dont forget about Rick Lemaster, Joe Carr Jr., Issac Nable, Ian Horn, and basically the Cooper Family.

I hate to say it but I think that there will be a woodford co. kid in the finals in almost every weight class.

S&H- Voth hasnt beat parks all year. He is tough but Parks has it. Sheehan will be in the finals.

If wrestling was basically the only sport I did, like Rusty, I would for sure try and wrestle in college. The thing is you have to show interest in colleges for them to even consider letting you on the team. But I think a highly respectable name such as Rusty Parks can get onto a small college wrestling team... I would say go for it!!!! Good luck in anything you do..... Charger

His name is Sheehan. He looked very decent at the Capital City. Rumor is that he broke his hand the wekk before the season and had surgery on it.

While talking of the 215 weight class the results from the Hammer and Anvil show that Byrd lost to Nachtrab(Greco-Roman National Champ)8-4. Word is that Byrd threw him twice but couldnt keep Nachtrab on his back. Pretty Impressive

To be undefeated at this point in the season is really good but you can not determine a choke until it is all over with. There are kids out there that can beat just about everyone in a weight class but when it becomes their time to shine at state they cant handle the pressure and choke. Remember some thrive on the pressure and some fold when the pressure is applied.

Well Ranger the Duels are at HEnry Clay High School. The Civic Center has nothing to do with Frankfort, FC, or Western Hills. We all know it is held there.

I give SOuth Oldham the 3 seed b/c Harrison will not be there this yr. B/c @ the Region 7 Duels Dunbar beat Harrison Co. and Henry Clay is already attending b/c the tourney is at there place. Out of region 7 is Woodford, Dunbar, Henry Clay

1st- Woodford 2nd- Larue 3rd- South Oldham That is all I know of. I think the others will be a throw up for wo brings a full healthy team.
