JustWrestle, Thanks for being a voice of reason and for detailed results for those of us who couldn't make it..I was suprised at R. Parks performance and not by Shane's...that little sucker is tough and gettin tougher by the match...dare I say state-champ?? WC will only turn it up from here on out...look for a dominating performance in Feb...probably gonna break the pts. record (for 32 man bracket) state duals should be interesting though as it seems somthing always keeps WC from winnin them all.

I read your evaluation of the woodford team and what you expect their season outcomes to be...I offer you a wager...of your choice...I say 7 finalists and 5 champs and the closest team to them will be 4o pts away. Now what do you say..a friendly wager. Perhaps if i win you post nothing but positive remarks about woodford and if you win I'll try to find something positive to say about any other team in the state. Both Parks brothers will be at the top of the podium in Feb!!! (right next to Starks, Courtney and Lewis) Whew 5 champs...we easily walked away w/ it w/ only two champs in '99.

pioneer and old: I am not woodford 99, although he is a close friend o mine and will be happy to hear that you think so highly of him. And BTW WOODFORD COUNTY is known nationwide (I've wrestled outside this state in HS and college and almost everywhere I went as soon as I mentioned KY they asked if I was from woodford co., dominating a state for 25 yrs kinda makes its way around). Obviously you are far too immature or sore to discuss HS wrestling w/o taking personal shots so I am done replying to anything you guys say..I have too many other things to worry about so... good luck to whoever you cheer for and keep on hating WC( if you want) it will get you nowhere....and ol grappler you continuously say that you have respect for rusty and carr but would you say these things to their face??? Do you really respect them if you consistently call their wrestlers "trashy, cocky, etc." i doubt you would even look carr in the face w/o telling him how great he and woodford are for this state and this sport. Who beat woodford this weekend......an in-state school????? just wonderin I don;t know, but i do know they are w/o two state finalsts right now. KYgrappler

pioneer and chums: take all the personal shots you want...I got a ring...you don't. I transferred to the best program in the state to win..not to worry about how you all fell when you lose yr after yr after yr after yr after yr after yr after yr. Lets not get too personal on a forum, either. you don;t know me i don;t know you lets leave it at that...if you want to meet me or talk in person I'll be at some matches over the break (wathcing my alma mater SPANK some other teams) I'd be more than happy to discuss why Woodford is so successful, hell I'll even let you in on some secrets of the team. SECRET #1: We don't care what anyone else thinks about us....as long as we're winnin the titles they can think whatever they want. It would n;t be as fun if you all liked us. BTW shouldn't you and others be proud that you have such a great program in your state??? GO to Iowa, OKlahoma, Michgan, Ohio, New Jersy, Florida anywhere and ask if they've heard of Larue or Campbell Co. The answer is hell no....then ask if they know woodford co. they will be able to tell you the coaches names...past wrestlers, etc. you don't get that kinda recongintion w/o decades of success. As far as bandwagon goes...I can't even begin to address that b/c if i did you would instantly know who I am....and that takes the fun out of it. I suggest you get your woodford shirt now while there's still room on this wagon....BEAT the RUSH..SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL YELLOWJACKET! KYg

pioneer, I moved to woodford for my senior yr only(99), as did rick mcclain (97) and others...good teams attract good wrestlers. Slugantz(01) was from Indiana but moved to woodford as a soph. there isn't one thing illegal as long as the kid has a residence in the county. Its not recruiting either woodford has enough good wrestlers to make up three lexington teams so no one is guarnteed a spot when they get there.
