i think it would be freakin awesome if they started the finals face off with Metallica's- ecstasy of gold. right when they turn the lights out the song should start.
-
Has anyone noticed that there could be some good 2nd round matches?
-
wood is going to state, whoever told you this false info tell them to get facts straight first.
-
People boo b/c Woodford is the Yankess of KY wrestling and everyone wants to see them get beat. Its just good competition of the all the time winners against the underdogs.
-
Yes it was a tough year for Caleb last year. And he still placed top 8 with a busted shoulder.
-
I think " The Final Countdown" is one
-
119 is the toughest but i would also say its the most unpredictable. It keeps changing every week on who beats who.
-
What if we threw in the 1984 Fern Creek team? they were undefeated all year team wise
-
Then WHY is he dropping to 103?
-
the Dragon will show who could be #1 That weight class will be stacked that day: Wood, Luna, Zeppa, i think Zarth, Norwood, and i heard woodford is not going this year.
-
Nothing goes better than some Disturbed and "Master of Puppets" from Metallica

I do think Caleb has the advantage. He has a tough defense and is very tough on top. -
EKU would not be a good place to host the tournament. I go there and I can tell you that with the limited parking and the tournament starting on a weekday it would not be pleasant. The arena is not big enough either to house the crowds we've had the past couple of years. It might fit about half of that plus its just a basketball court and the area around it is condensed so you could barely get 4 mats down.

Caleb is looking at 112. His brother was 119 his junior year and dropped to 112 his senior year and that surprised some people. Caleb is weighing about 120 right now and eats like a horse. -
I've already been training in Ju Jitsu and wrestling does help alot with the learning and usually wrestlers are ahead of everyone else. Because of wrestling taking down opponents and getting the dominant position is so easy.
-
I haven't able to watch the show but is it Frank or Ken Shamrock on the show.
-
lateral drop, it always planted them and i could get it at anytime.
-
How do you know Wood won't be back at 119 next year?
-
I think Caleb Wood should be on the list, his barrel roll is hard to stop and he has hit it on some of the best (Coty, Murner)

Least Impressive Wrestlers @ State (let downs)
ROTC112 replied to Chicks Dig Scars's topic in 2006 Season
With Caleb all he could do at practice was run most of the time. It gets you in shape but not wrestling shape and I do agree that he didn't have his regular rhythem. -
Murner did his homework on Voth to avoid the spladle and won the state title, congrats to him on that, and yes Caleb was injured and hopefully he'll be back next season fully healthy.
-
Coty had the tough side of the bracket last year and made it to the finals, I don't doubt his ability to make it this year.
-
If a doctor tells you to sit out a few weeks of wrestling to heal, is it right for a coach to persuade them to come back earlier and risk the injury to possibly get worse?

Wood brothers Jake- 2002 region champ, state placer Caleb- 2005 state champ

It seems like everybody is getting caught by it
