The 1st county elementary meet is scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Whitley City Elementary School. Weigh-ins start at 5:00 and wrestling is suppose to start at 6:00. Grades K-6. As far we know it is suppose to be here every Thursday for the next several weeks. The Brock Jones Invitational Tournament is scheduled for March 11, 2006. I think its going to be at McCreary Central. The 2nd Annual Elementary State Wrestling Tournament is being hosted at McCreary Central on March 25, 2006. Come on out and support McCreary Wrestling!

IMO 171 will be a interesting class to watch throughout the year, there are alot of out of state transfers like the harrison co. kid the Ashland kid, and there is no clear cut stand out wrestler there in that class. It looks to me like this class is a toss up.

I attended McCreary central from 2000-04 and i would have to say the best wrestler to my knowledge here would have to be Delmar Watson he was a two time runner-up. Lost to Jeremy Chapman from Ashland his junior year and Kinane Hampton from Jeffersontown his senior year in the finals. Still looking for that first state champion..

I think that fern creek will be in the top 4 as a team. John wolseifer will win it a 152, we saw them at the wayne co. dual and he looked very good, along with the whole fern creek squad.
