Being from ohio where we have the tourney in the same place every year (Ohio State university) i would say that the place that hold the tourney should stay consistent through the years. Thus i feel that even if they did make a move they should plan on the tourney being there for a while. This would give the tourney more "tradition" if you will and a bit more of a legacy. I do like the frankfort facility but i also agree that there is a bit to much freedom. As a person off the street, if you will i was able to sit in chair in the corner as my friends wrestled as well as warm up with them in the back room. this is the type of thing that keeps the state tourney in Ky from being a truly Prestigious tourney

I would say that murton has a good chance at placing Verry High. The beast of the east is a tourney that has proven to be almost as tough of a tournament as senior nationals and Jake placed 6th with a pinched nerve and some verry questionable calls on the part of the officials. I feel that he and shearer have a chance at placing in the top 3 or 4 in the tourney (hopefully higher) this would realy help to pu Ky on the map Good luck guys

Hey Yall I just wanted to know if anyone in here is gonna be in Pittsburg Pa to watch the senior nationals. I'm not sure how many wrestlers from Kywill be there but i know one for sure. It will be sure to be an action packed weekend of the best wrestlers in the country competing for the Title Of NATIONAL CHAMPION. hOPE TO SEE YOU THERE TO CHEER ON KY'S FINEST.

Who does everyone thik this years MOW will be. IF i had to guess i would say there are tw othat are the best picks. I think that murton has a great chance considering the fact that he will walk through the finals. and also Taylor Shearer (dont think i spelled that right) but tell me what yall think

I agree with Yellowjacket in the fact that the tourney needs to be seeded. THERE ARE TO MANY FINALS MATCHES BEING WRESTLED IN THE QUARTERS AND SEMIS!!!! For example two years in a row Jacob Murton has wrestled his toughest matches of the year in the quarters (2004 i cant remember his name but he was from ballard and in 05 it was robert smith) bot h of thoes boys were the number 2 wrestler in the state in there weight classes that year and they only were able to get third that is not right. I also think that the bracket should be cut to a 16 man just like al the powe r house states, Ohio,iowa, Florida, And Pa. But that is just my idea let me know if you thik im wrong but i feel a state tourney that is seeded will give people a more exciting thing to watch in the finals. Many college scouts only come to watch the finals.

I think that that list ofg "In State Talent" needs to be changed because Robert Smith couldnt handle the preasure of wrestling in college and walked of the team like the baby we all knew he was

After seeing Shearer wrestle at the state tourney the last 2 years i jaut cant see anyone in KY beating him and i feel that he is ranked well in the nation.

I agree that murton should be ranked a little higher in the nation especialy after what he did to highly ranked seth easter at wsaz last year( jacob maade him cry in the final match when he beat him 9-1 and had seths hometown crowd booing him)

Do any of yall think that there are any wrestlers in the state that can not be beat by any kentucky wrestlers. Ithink that there are three. 1. Jacob Murton 2. Talor shearer 3. Harison Courtney (if he doesnt wrestle the same weight as Murton)
