    Brute Addidas Nationals

Has anyone been to the Brute Addidas Nationals in Kansas City? Was considering going to this in April and was looking for some feedback. Hotel situation/cost, bracket sizes, compitition level so on. Thanks

    Up and Coming Programs

For a program that was started within the last 3 years I believe Meade County has done a great job. Their boys wrestle to win the whole match, are in shape and obviously know where the weight room is. With a couple more years for them to work on their technique, which takes the longest time to get especially with a new program, and they'll be a contender." I didn't realize Meade county had only had a wrestling program for three years. If that's true they are doing great. Congratulations to them for making angreat showing at State.

    Injury time

I don't know if anyone else agrees or not but I saw WAY to much injury time being called in the third period and 90 percent of the time, the kid took a one minute breather then was fine. To me this is nothing more than legal stalling!

    small school- big school

I don't think Walton is a very good example for this discussion. No disrespect to the program or the coaches but they did/do rely heavily on the "Big Schools" for some of their wrestlers." Act Like Youve Been There, I don't understand what you mean by this statement? How is it you get the impression that Walton relies heavily on " Big School" for some of their wrestlers?

    Injury time

I don't know who called anyone a name or insulted or discredited anyone specifically but I didn't mention any one team or any one kid. I however did see two teams in specific needing injury time quite often in the third period. If you didn't see this situation as a problem them apparently we just disagree on this topic. Faking injury time to get a breather only takes away the advantage the other kid gained by working harder throughout the season and is total b.s

    Most exciting match

What did everyone thing were their most exciting match/matches? Jayce Carr vs Kyle Terry, o.t in 130 finals.

    Middle school finals

WHS98: Good grief sir, you are taking these comments WAYYYYY out of context. I take KYCOACH's comments that Wiley's level of wrestling was great to beat a 2xer by the margin that he did. He is pointing out how hard that he had to have trained to accomplish this, especially after having lost to your son earlier. No intentions at all to belittle anyone here, especially a kid. Your comments toward your sons performance were far more harsh (10 fold) than anything anyone else said.Don't take everything so personal. Sounds like you also are having a hard time dealing with a loss of a match. Just my observation though
  9. Caoch M, your forgetting to include Hamilton from Campbell Co in that mess at 130 in Region 6. 130 will be a real meat grinder at the regional tornament. Probably the deepest weight class in Region 6

    130

Oldwrestler81' I will have to go exactly opposite of you and give Carr a slight edge just based on strength of schedule

    130

Ahern's results placing at SWOCA and GMVWA show he is for real, and not to be overlooked. I just think Carr and a terry are a level above the rest at 130 but 3 thru 8 are just a toss up if Carr and Terry are opposite side at State. Should be exciting!

    140

I think Troxell has to considered the favorite

Sir, I agree with what you are saying here. All I am saying us that I, as I am sure others took offense to your use of the word " hillbilly"

    Responsible Sports Parenting

Please excuse the misspelling and errors. That's what happens when you try to post from an iPhone. What I meant is, even though I agree totally with you , that was a very poor choice of words trying to get your point across

    Responsible Sports Parenting

Act Like You Been There, your " hillbilly" comment is out of line and quite offensive. Maybe you should think your out a little more before sticking your foot in your mouth! I a free totally with what your trying to get across but you chose your words very poorly

RYLE'S CONNOR COYLE HEADED TO NAVY!

Congratulations Connor! Good luck. I am sure you have a bright future

    STATE DUALS!

I thought this would be a bit of an off year for Ryle after loosing a few State Champs to graduation but they have proven themselves this year with wins at the Rumble and great showings at SWOCA and GMVWA in Ohio. Trininty looked really good at the Dragon. Union is stacked agin this year after adding Blackwel and Carr. Its a toss up for first with these three teams. Johnson Centeral and Larue both are capable of coming in and stealing it away from the other three. I am going with: Union Co Ryle Trinity Johnson Centeral Larue.. But, I wouldn't be surprised by the top five shaking out in any order. Good luck to all

    Dragon Invitational @ South Oldham

Cory Ahern beat Supe in one point match in the semis, then I believe he lost for 3rd to Roy Bisenius from South Oldham

Johnson Central wins Region 8 Duals

Did I read that Troxell and Salyers wrestled this past weekend? If so, who moved a weight, and will they stay there or was it just dual strategy?

    toughest weight class

A real meat grinder that is!
  22. refdad

    toughest weight class

I don't see a one kid at 145 simply dominating like some of the other weight classes have but if you throw in Whalen who wrestled 145 at LaFayette and Cole Proctor who I hear is cutting to 145, the top 4 or seems like a real meat

    Lafayette 5 Star Classic

So how will this work?, the winner of pool A wrestles the winner of pool B, the winner of pool C wrestles winner of pool D , then winners meet in finals?

    Lafayette 5 Star Classic

Anyone, have a list of teams entered?

Sad state for arithmatic in America

A refs goal should be to go un-noticed during the match and have all the attention on the wrestlers. I you hustle to stay in good position and are up to date on the rules your table workers can still sometimes make you look bad
