Slaughter me if u must for putting this out there but can we present the idea of canceling youth regionals to have state for middle school next Saturday and still have youth state the weekend after they already automatically qualify for state they'd just have a easier pass Into it but it beats the hell out if no ms state at all! Or having it close to march which I pray will not be a option

i dont know,I was a young coach and the head coach has way more experienced on the mats and I learned alot with him as he showed me the ropes,BUT he was worse then I was on the mats controlling his self,and alot more, he even carried that manual around reading it to the refs as theyd take points from us for it is it really based on young coaches? its kinda hard to decide,I didnt see all these things happen in the hs tournament then or after maybe its just the learning base kinda like you have to be hit hard before it gets easy

I dont really like looking into the past,but it was my 1st time coaching at the kentucky middle school state tournaments but,I was curious if what I saw is what happens every year at the state tournament. I was all over the place and everywhere I went their was some things that kept me in shock Parents wanting to fight coaches and referees Coaches going insane on the mat after their kid loses One or 2 refs in particular losing his patience with kids so bad he even starts taking off points on every kid and every team so far as in doing the same when the kid has an emotional moment and cheers for his victory,I could remember that one that took points away from our team just for RESPECTIVELY asking a question I'd like to keep going but that want help the situation,but what could we do better this year to make sure this isnt UFC FIGHT! it was put on VERY WELL AND RAN VERY WELL,I'm not for that forfeit and 5match rule i.g. flipping a coin YOUR THE WINNER option not competitive but also not in my control I hope this upcoming season is a new age and a new beginning

now that youve mentioned it,I've set up things and so have others is anyone using them NOOOOOOOO and sorry I've been to many different kindve tournaments not just wrestling and when you sit there in your seat for 7 hours or hell even 4 to make it shorter for you it puts a wear on your body,why even compete by then,soooo lets say instead the kid gets out there and keeps warming up or roughousing around till he match comes up,also another bad thing,wasting energy If your not used to constructive criticism this sport WILL NOT WORK OUT FOR YOU!!! this post wasnt a stab against the hosts of the tournament or the the tournament in general because its what the kids needed,its just to better it next time so its convient for everybody

Needs to be ran way better then what they did this year,there WAS NO REASON we shouldve been there from 8:00 thats when weigh ins started alll the way to nearly 5:00 with still not all the mats ,not being used. I appreciate Sambo Joe bringing his sport and his students to louisville to compete with us knowing that it would be an overly tough match up for any of his guys being that alot of the wrestlers who showed up were DECENT IN GRECO ROMAN BUT he spent way too long talking about nothing I hate to say up there in the meeting with everybody,its like this if your bold enough or brave maybe to try a sport the first day without knowing anything about it,you have to expect that it may not turn out the best for you ON THE OTHER HAND,anyone can teach or show you anything the night before or the day of,WILL A KID REMEMBER IT......high percentage says no!!! It was great to see such a large interest in the Greco and Freestyle matches,when folkstyle came around thats when the slacking truely began.... There were times when the table would stop working regardless of what they were doing,they stopped and took pauses while 3 mats werent being used with table runners AND REFS were there There were mistakes being made who was doing what styles on paper so you could be called up to a freestyle match when you have never even done it before.....get beat really fast teaching you nothing! then you may of signed up for folk and they didnt even write you down,you had been sitting there for 7hours straight and now they are givin g the run around about you not wrestling as well as they did when it was time to pick up medals EXHIBITIONS are matches that shouldnt be an obligation till matches that were paid for at registration were set or atleast done,everytime we looked up someone was challenging another kid and walking to the table and then they were allowed to wrestle right away,in all fairness im for that,that is what you call someone who came to work that day,if you can walk up bravely and be like hey man can we wrestle to learn alittle bit about yourself,regardless of weight,status or whatever,its comending in my book,but it shouldnt be a priority till the end of the tournament or somewhat in the middle had they stuck to the original plan they called out this mat folk,that one freestyle,greco and all sambo will be here,it probably wouldnt of been such a big inconvience to come to that day Thank You Coach Founder and Central for hosting this tournament and taking the time out of your day to do this,but whoever was runnign the tables over there was VERY UNORGANIZED.... as worst as "someones dad telling someone else's son,he wanted him to wrestle his son lol a time and place for this and that situation didnt turn out good AT all!!!

American Martial Arts Academy 1814 Production Court in the j-town area off watterson trail and bluegrass parkway near the dairy queen,Uhaul and other business suites,and southeast christian church Open Mats are every sunday 1-3 which sometimes stretches to 400 AMAA also has a Show Sized Cage used for MMA and is availible for rent by others The Wrestling Class is usually Ran by Coach Gercak of the G-Force wrestling Club,this class goes over all styles and respectfully we cross train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which helps your wrestling game good,and also MMA,Sambo,Greco Roman and Freestyle The classes are free on the 1st visit on sundays,and only $5.00 for every other visit,you cant beat that for something youll be learning alot in and getting hard work,GUARANTEED, all ages and sizes are welcomed to attend,please bring your USA Wrestling Club,and be aware this is a safe gym,their isnt any dangerous crazy stuff going on in here. Everyone I'm a proud guy to sit back and watch something happen I've never been able to watch before. I've been wrestling since ONLY my freshmen year in 2002 at Central H.S. where we werent much of anything,barely any singlets,warm ups shoes or anything this was the year of Phil Baker,lol great guy and tough hvwt... Today Central has become a stronger program with wrestlers in the finals of ALMOST all the tournaments and even a recent runner up 2years ago at 140 Also I got to share a moment with my own eyes watching a fine season and year by trinity high school whom may be a private school here in louisville,but they are a Louisville Team this means in 6years their hasnt been a louisville team at Number 1 and win The title,I'm proud to be a wrestler from the area,its almost our own history as a city we can share with the county schools nearly always taking it. Last but not least a fine gentlemen and friend and partner in the room,Justin Davis has made a mark for our school with their being not a state champion since 2002 being Derek Sawyer who did respectively make it to the finals in 2003 falling short to a woodford wrestler in the end. Justin was also the 2nd State MOW EVER at eastern the last was in 1978....It was nice seeing all of these historic events happen this weekend,please feel free to be proud with me
