Coach Parks is a great guy.Im glad both my son and i got the priveledge to wrestle for him and coach carr.

Wolsifier and Courtney are not defensive wrestlers. I have watched them both their entire careers and know they are not defensive. They are both hardcore and never stop trying to score or pin. And both are very smooth and always on the attack on their feet. If Im not mistaken, they both won their finals on their feet.

Courtney will probably be back at 45

Courtney defensive? I hardly think a kid that has something like 70 sets of 2 and 3 point back points last season can be called defensive. Wolsifier lucky? The kid knows there are 6 minutes in a match and he is willing to go 7 and go hard the whole time. These 2 "defensive and lucky" STATE CHAMPS will be a thrill for the next few years to come.

KY was very well represented in the AAU World Championships in Detroit MI April 13 14 15 4 Woodford wrestlers and 2 John Hardin wrestlers represented the state with pride. Blake Sheehan and Wyatt Courtney both finished in 8th place. Bill Semones from WC got some valuable mat time. Harrison Courtney finished 1st in the Cadet 152 class beating kids from Michigan, South Dakota, Illinois, and beat his kid from New York in the finals 13-1. Chris Pitcher from John Hardin finished 8th and Justin Pitcher from JH was in the finals but didnt get to see how he finished up. Great tourney and about the best officiated I have ever been to. Congrats guys.

Woodford also had Kyle and Scott Wieland go to represent KY. Kyle got 8th place and Scott placed 7th.

Also, got to meet and see wrestle Dan "The Beast " Severn. He is a BIG boy. Very nice guy and autographed some pictures for anyone who approached him.

Any info on this anywhere?

I honestly cant see any place better than Frankfort the atmosphere there is just too amazing to be duplicated anywhere else
