  1. I sent you an email Caleb, but my main problems with the new format changes for the championship:

    1. The new format was much less spectacular
    2. The format was confusing
    3. The session was longer and thus less exciting

All in all, maybe one step forward and three steps back. I'm for change, but not at the expense of making the sport less exciting and spectacular.

These changes are not in alignment with the changes happening around the world to modernize the sport and to make it a more watchable sport.

I tried a few days ago. Wanted to post a vid of Retherford laying the wood to Pantaleo. 10MB is max size allowed, so even a short video seems to be out of the question. Maybe a link would do.

I am surprised the college board is so dead. KY has a handful of D1 guys and a ton wrestling in college overall.

Hey CrazyOtto, I've been working on this for some time...

You can add a link to a youtube video or flowrestling now at: http://kentuckywrestling.com/videos/add

This would show up on the site at http://kentuckywrestling.com/Videos/

I'm working on being able to upload a video without youtube or upload straight to youtube and add it to the site at the same time

  3. But if you were sitting on the other side of the arena, good luck seeing the mat very well.

The other end is where the KHSAA was setup, and there are hardly any seats above their setup though? I can see your point for the back corners though

  4. Does anyone have a win-loss program that helps keep track of wins and losses and tabulates them throughout their career. For example, one that will allow me to see when they are getting close to 100 wins etc. Thanks.

Do you have an ipad or android something? I can show you a couple apps.

Does the stat tracker not keep a history though?

  5. Is there a rule in place by KHSAA limiting the age of a participant in the state tournament regardless of grade? For example, Can a 19 or 20 year old senior wrestle in the tournament? Has this ever happened?

There is a rule, its online in the bylaws but I can't quote it.

  6. These guys look like the should be at the top next year, making a serious run if not repeating at whatever weight:

  7. This isn't meant to be rankings, but a look at the weight classes with the seniors removed. The numbers on the left are the pre-state ranking, and the wrestlers were put in order of actual final state placements.

  8. Everyone wishes to have their viewpoint heard. Everyone who brings their point of view and insight is a part of this large community.

It has always been a rule that Personal Attacks will not be tolerated. This rule has been a little too relaxed in the past to allow for open discussion. However, It's lead to some out of control whiplash. Moving forward, I want it to be clear that it's unacceptable to attack a user, even with a history of foolish or boorish behavior. If we want to encourage a positive online presence for our sport and community here in Kentucky, we can't get caught up into this cycle.

This includes wrestlers that may have done something unsportsmanlike or referees that made a foolish call. People make mistakes, and hopefully they learn from them. Attacking them for it will not encourage them to change their ways. Personal attacks are damaging to helping our community and sport grow and goes against the spirit of sportsmanship. Comments should not be personalized or directed at people, avoid the use of "you".

How should you respond to a personal attack? By not responding at all. Report it to a moderator... simply by clicking the report button/link on that post. Moderating debates can be stressful, and we try be open when it comes to discussions, but personal attacks cannot be tolerated.

Do not respond to attacks, instead, report it. Users that insist on a confrontational response to a personal attack, could be blocked as well for cycling the problem.
