MatMama 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2009 I feel good about the experience for Eastern wrestlers. We had one placer -- Cecil Clardy at 92 pounds. However, all the Eastern wrestlers who participated held their own against some tough competition. Looking in the program at past placers, many of them are NCAA champs or NCAA D1 wrestlers. It was a different kind or wrestling -- one three-minute match. That's it. You had to be aggressive and quick. I do think they could have managed time better. High school age wrestlers were supposed to start at 6:00, and it was, like, 8:30 before those matches began. Otherwise, though, it was cool. And Columbus is a pretty fun city to visit.
