Trinity, Union Co., Fern Creek at Mater Dei

The Mater Dei Classic is over and once again they won. Union County came in 2nd with 3 champions. Trinity came in 6th with 1 champion and I dont remember what Fern Creek placed but wasn't that great. The champions for UC were Elam 103, Carr 119, and Ervin 160. The lone champion for Trinity was Dan Smith at 112. Elam and Bradbury faced off in the finals with Elam pulling out a 7-5 victory in overtime. Ervin beat his cousin Tanner Wedding in the 160 finals 2-1. Wolsiefer sp? was in the stands. Other placers for Union were Jake Wempe 5th, Caleb Ervin 3rd, Isaac Ervin 2nd (lost 3-1 in finals), and Diante Wright 4th. Jordan Whiting won in overtime over Evansville Memorial to take 3rd. Still needs to get in shape, very big, weighed in around 286 I heard. Trinity had some placers but don't know what or where. Jacob Barton beat Luke Ervin 3-0 or something like that knocking Luke out of the tournament. Caleb Ervin majored Grant Ohlmann in the Quarters and decisioned him for the 3rd place match. Derek Branch, Kyle Hardin, and Daniel Weixler sp? all had a good showing.

For fern creek 112 daniel weixler placed 3rd, 152 cody mann placed 5th and kyle hardin placed 6th. Really a very tough tournament overall with alot of great wrestlers.
