There have already been some great early season match ups. Love seeing kids going out and wrestling the best without fear.

Leland Reeves beat Dennis George @132 with a score of 3-2 I believe.
Anthony Condi beat Ryan Smith 2-0 @126.
TJ Meyers beat Keygen Roberts at 138 Not sure about the score.
Leland Reeves beat Jonah Mcloskey 8-2 @132.

No doubt we will see these kids back on the podium again this year. Iron sharpens iron.

What other early season match ups have we had?

    Meyer pinned kaygen

One of the toughest weights to project to begin each year is 106.  Who will make it back down to weight?  Very few do.  What new youngsters will emerge?  It is so hard to predict who will grow into the weight and we has jumped levels in those critical MS years and as they move into HS.  For the all star event we will see

#1 Ren Birk of Great Crossing versus #2 Roman Valera of Central Hardin

Who all do you think will be at 106 this year?

Still time to get signed up online or at Madison Central tomorrow night. We are at 135 wrestlers and still more coming in. This will be one of the biggest bgsg in history, definitely the biggest in the 10 years Ive ran it

How will the weights be? Just 10 percent or will you try and make actual highschool weight classes?

Probably. I don’t know. But i don’t think he even wrestled high school that year. I know I’ve looked at a lot of teams rosters on the opc and they have kids listed that aren’t even on the team.

Probably just repeated the seventh grade

There have been 7 4 timers in Ky. Cole Thomas looks to join the super exclusive club this month. Super impressive feet. The list of state champs he’s beating continues to grow.  A couple other 9th graders are ranked really high and could be setting up to make a 4 year run.
(not to mention Jayden, Jordyn, and Dalton Matney)

The raney boys could not only be 4 timers, they could possibly be looking to be 5 and 6 timers

I have similar ideas and I also haven't heard much about larger weights because my kid is smaller

    70-Hawk  Daughbaugh or Peyton Fowler

    75-Case Simmons

    80-Jaxson Mayberry

    86-Madden Brown

    92-Kayson White

    105-Jayden Raney

    113-Jordyn Raney

    121-Utah Heady

That seems accurate enough, but at 70, Peyton Fowler has not placed and returning placer Carson matney will

be there so he will likely get the edge. And at 80 there is returning champion max nance and jaxson Mayberry has not placed

Haven’t watched much this year but Luke Thomas has been to the finals in the last 2 years.

Yes, he has beaten braydan Blevins who I have ranked number one at 98, but he is 113 pounds and nobody is beating the raneys. If he does decide to cut, him and Blevins should be a really good match

  9. I don’t know much about the upper weights, but here are some of my picks:

70- Carson Matney or Hawk Daughbaugh

75- Cody Blevins or Blake Lemaster

    80- Max Nance

    86- Madden Brown

    92-

    98- Braydan Blevins

    105- Jayden Raney

    113- Jordyn Raney

    121- Utah Heady

Feel free to add on but most of these wrestlers have already proved their dominance at each weight in the past and this season

Who are some of the top 70 lb kids?  Are there any rankings?

At 70, there should be some returning kids from last years state championships, this could include Carson Matney, Brennan East, Brycen Gray, and Hawk Daughnbaugh are all some of my top picks. (Keep in mind they may not be at 70 anymore I am just guessing)

Most of the top kids were at the Georgetown Duals. You can look there and see what weights they are at.

Yeah I saw many of the top kids there (besides the raneys) like madden brown, Luke Thomas, Micah thompson, Kaygen Roberts, new kid mason damis was there, Blevins boys were there, and many others
