Ive heard March 13/14 but then I also heard April. I dont think there is any concrete answer right now.

Team KY is taking a 10U team to the Nuway State Based Duals in Gatlinburg on January 17-18. Must be 10 years old or younger. Heres the weights we need...all with a +2 allowance...50, 54, 58, 95, 100. State placers given priority. Please let me know if you have a wrestler interested.

Actually my kid did just fine, thanks. Why would being concerned with not having skin/nail/BC checks mean a kid didn't do well? Your kid must have been one with nail/skin issues
As a team admin, my reason for bringing this up is because for weeks I told parents "make sure you trim your kids nails, make sure their skin is clear, make sure you have their birth certificate etc." then we get there and they're all telling me no ones checked anything.
Louden, thank you for checking. I was mainly referencing early weigh in's.

Why were there no skin checks / nail checks / birth certificate checks done? I saw many kids with scratches all over them from kid's nails. The lack of birth certificate checks makes me feel like there will be some funny business going on next year with coaches trying to pass kids off in a lower age group etc. This is State! Nothing should be left undone. If it's due to lack of help, ask people to jump in and help. Just my two cents.

17 hours ago, Coach Matt said:What about the intermediate and the Middle schoolers? They don't Wrestle until 1pm? What time are their weigh ins? From the Flyer it says:
Wrestler and Coach check-In from 7:30 am – 12 noon
…. So does that mean they can weigh in within that time range?
CoachesWeigh ins for morning session on Sunday will be 7-9 start wrestling by 9:30... Afternoon session will be 11:00-1245 start wrestling by 1:15.

Last year the medals were tiny. Like I had to squint to see them on the table (okay maybe an exaggeration but you get the point). For being a state champion, I feel like the kids deserve more. My kid has been going to state since 2015 and I have never seen them give out singlets to the finalists. In fact, she WAS a finalist in 2015 and didnt receive anything other than a medal. In youth, the kids could get a printed copy of the bracket but not a bracket board or anything special like that. I am hoping they will use the venue funds to put towards the (very well deserved) awards for the kids.

If they are giving it to us for free, hopefully that means better awards, right?? Compared to Ohio who gets singlets and eagle trophies, we can step it up a notch if we aren't having to spend thousands on a venue.

Can anyone explain what this means? from the Spring meeting.
"Take top 6 from each region to state making 30 of 32 spots on the bracket also using the current roll up plan 2 regions will qualify a 7th wrestler from each weight class to complete our 32 man bracket"
2021\2022 Tournaments are scarce.
