Agree 100%. Tyler and team ran a great weekend of wrestling. Definitely one of the best MS tournaments we have seen. And while it was only 2 days of wrestling I can tell you it takes months and months of work and planning. More than any of those that complain want to put in.

Im sure the board welcomes constructive feedback with proposed solutions.

Why would significant wins over top ranked wrestlers disapeer on trackwrestling when the wins just happened at District And Regionals?

Looks like the rankings overlooked Riley Johnson (75) a bit. Took that Ryle girl ranked second to the wood shed 12-0.

Hopefully Olivia becomes the states first female wrestler if no one beats her to it. I remember a girl from Campbell Co. in the mid 2000s wrestling 103 who was a match away from placing, I believe. I would say she was dominating her way at state but guess I will just say she had some victories, not to be a prick. Sorry for coming off as rude. Didn't feel like I was but my perception is not always the best when typing a message after being pumped up over a big time win. And I have no relation to Riley Johnson, so you all don't think it was one of his parents or whatnot that made that remark.

He was a big 75. Did he drop weight? I think he medals at 80. He had a nice win over the JC kid. Good wrestler for sure! I had a feeling he would do good! :) . Didn't mean to quote the first part.

I don't think the horse park is really an option. Logistically it is a nightmare (trust me) and financially it isn't much better than a nightmare. Not to mention they are not easy to work with. Under the current structure we are piggybacking ms and youth so we need to keep that in mind for the site.

Not to mention there were plenty of issues with that site.

I didn't like all the dust at the horse park! This years venue had a great view to watch wrestling! The venue was the BEST I have seen!

My experience has only been for the last four tournaments and something seems to improve every year.    We really liked the venue and the setup.   For the people that wanted to stand at the rail, I don't think that would have blocked anyone's view from the stands so that is always good.    As far as additional improvements or ideas.   I'm sure there is a reason to this that I'm not understanding so forgive me for asking but why have the largest groups by number,   06-07 and 08-09 competing at the same time.  Why not split those into the AM and PM sessions?  I would think that would make things go much faster.    Also, seemed like buying tickets and getting in early for the youth was a problem.    Would it be possible to offer on-line purchases of tickets also so people can buy them beforehand?  I would think something like Eventbrite or other online ticketing company could help with that.    One last thought as far as the tickets, would it be feasible to offer a two day pass option for MS and Youth?   I know I heard several people say they would've come watch the MS but they didn't want to pay full price for two days, especially for just a few hours after they weighed in Saturday.   Maybe just knock off a few bucks so people feel like they are getting some kind of discount.   Anything lost in revenue by discounting the second day I would think would be made up by larger volume of people from youth going to middle school.    Maybe you do, I just missed it, if so I apologize.

You should help plan next years tournament all great ideas in my opinion!

Hey, great idea to do day of weigh ins, your only running three hours behind. There are some real geniuses over in river city.

Better to be a little late with correct weights? Than to be early and brackets have noticeably bigger kids in the wrong weight class. Just my opinion . Forum was great 2! 2 thumbs up!

  6. When college wrestlers go for the pin, what technique or pin do you see most often? I'm guessing you don't see many double chicken wings! So what pins should high schoolers be trying to master that have success at the college level? Thanks for any answers that are not  a smart a## answer!
