A big match in a big tournament and against a Conference rival ncaa qualifier who was ranked top 20 this yr .but more important his team was trailing up to that point his coaches pushing for the md and the pin to help them move up a spot which they did .Looked like a pin to me as well.Tough tournament he had 3 ot matches and some byes .A tough year on a very tough schedule on a power 5 team but a bright spot for sure in the midst of some trying to knock him .All good .

Congrats to Austin Myers for a great showing at the Southern Scuffle 2 byes a 2 and 2 record 2 ot losses a double ot win and ....A Major Decision victory over Red Shirt Senior and NCAA qualifier nationally ranked wrestler this year JJ Everard of Northern IOWA that moved his team at the moment of his victory from third to second where they would hold on by a slim margin falling behind #1 Nationaly ranked OKL State . Big injury halfway through his fr yr of HS and two acl surgeries and another scheduled after the season so he can coach .it's all good one door shuts another opens he always said he would never coach but coach Roth was adamant in trying to get him and now he seems to have taken a liking to it he actually trained with kids like Smith and Wells when he was still in Ohio he has friends and is probably more of a fellow athlete than a coach at times but he knows a lot and can wrestle everyone from 106 to heavy and knowing him he has always liked the underdog always took up for the smaller team or guy he will and is doing well at WV . MIZZOU TAKES 2ND TO OKL ST beating Lehigh by 1.5 points Some KY kids making a difference . Didn't see any fr or soph placing at Hvy saw two make it to Rd of 16 Austin and Streifel from Minn.tough loss in ot and it was questionable would have still had a top ten guy to beat to place but a win is a win . BOSTON will probably do some damage with some pressure of him away from the depth of Iowa St . Going to be a shootout .Campbell county is the defending champs and they always seem to get their team together at the end of the year as Coach Bankamper focuses on the end game.Simon Kenton seems to be on the money with some of the toughest upper classmen in the state and some good supporting guys as well might be their year .Walton Verona has some stud Jrs some stud underclassmen and a sr at heavy who I wish had one or two years left because he could be national level and may take it all if hes on the money big athletic and in decent shape just saying if he had been as focused or into the sport as some of the other top guys he would be on everyones list to watch .Ryle I believe is in a rebuilding stage with a couple good kids and a nice history and legacy to help rebuild on.Not sure what Cooper or Scott has in the works or if Scott is even in the region with all the remixing the last couple years .Cov Cath has a stud or two and Newport has steadily risen Im thinking the upper level kids in the schools that do not have a shot at winning may be the spoilers to some that do and Walton the underdog s.mall school that could may be down to many horses . Wells and Yenter ,Vs Cornett Castellano vs Smith and Moore with a heavy in Ruber who could pin through and crush some dreams some good kids and good teams but everyone seems to have a couple pieces of the puzzle missing and not a lot of top guys in the same classes except 126 where the finals will be the match of the reg.Not sure what Boone or Conner has they always have a few studs with all the new schools I guess its hard for them to be the top dogs as they were long ago .I have no idea about Holmes either but I remember yrs ago they had a huge youth team that doesn't seem to be bearing fruit to me and its my own opinion a big basically inner city school should be able to get some kids wanting to scrap I think I could go jogging around town and pick up 20 or 30 kids who want to beat up someone and create a team of monsters ,isn't it like one of the biggest citys in the state ? not going to look good on all these big schools if a school of barely 500 total kids takes it to everyone or it may be a good thing and send a message to the smaller schools or small schools that do not have teams that they can get it done with a bunch of work .

Can young Belk make the lineup at Ryle he did well at NKAC it is good seeing young kids making it to state if he can get out of regions it gives hope for the future and following his brothers footsteps he will most likely end up being even better and a possible state champ or future multiple state champ for Ryle and NKy taking second to Wells is pretty good as Wells is a multiple state champ level guy.

I know Cooper and Dixie and Scott have good teams I have just not seen them this year and I know Ryle has some good young Jr High kids like Belk coming up .I'm not ignoring anyone just putting it out there about kids I have seen I missed nkac and I know SK and Dixie were the top teams so Dixie has some weapons And I think Cooper and Scott did well CC from what I saw were down a couple guys and a state champ there so congrats to whoever beat them but they were not 100 percent not saying anyone else was either just saying. Moving guys around and taking out a state champ takes away a lot of points .
