  1. 170 should be very entertaining .If Cornett has improved as he has done each year He could very well be the best all around  wrestler in Kentucky .This looks to be the toughest class in the tournament I would put his runner up spot at soph nat up against anything anyone in this class has done as well as his state placing HE is the 1 seed on criteria in and out of state .looks like they aim to make him earn it the hard way.

Let it go dude...it's in the past and your boys have moved on to bigger things.  You need to move on too.

Thanks Dr Phill. I just like the people to know what kind of people are out there and what they are dealing with

  3. Agree, I know Evans ,didn't know he was that heavy but it makes sense in his Family .My son's got to play little cards football with Tegray and we're on the same youth team as Orlando their first year wrestling and have spent time in rooms with him over the year good athletes all around .

BRYANT seems athletic and knowledgeable but in the big matches when it's close he seems to panic and go for broke saw it at Districts last yr and Iron Man this year it gets tight and he goes for the home run with whip overs and stuff that good wrestlers seem to be waiting to take advantage of .patience and a cool head would help him tremendously ,Sometimes with the big teams comes the pressure and big expectations that make some go for big moves when it's the little things that win the day .

Bakers are tough they have been around all the clubs Like prodigy for years .

TRAUB Meyer and Hensley along with a couple others all train together in the off season. ,Last year they and Austin did a lot of work together and I think know they helped him get over the Hump to win Nationals .TRAUB is one tough dude who took a pounding but dished it out as well working with the big boys last year .There will be some studs there for sure .

  4. OK SINCE YOU INCOMPETENT WISECRACKING BUFFOONS ARE OBVIOUSLY OUT OF THE LOOP AS TO THE GOINGS ON IN THIS TOURNAMENT I WILL EXPLAIN .A school is first on the list a prominent Ky  school ,To enter shmoca  after they get a couple recruits they get dropped to seventh . So if your a top notch tourney are you seriously going to bump a state champ team down on your list  and keep them out??

And Ohio tournaments giving Ky state placers reg placers seeding. That's pathetic stand up for yourselves .Indiana gets its seeding as does other states .makes me sick .

Now otto  you washed up wannabee and wildcat you never were know nothing goof Internet tough guys one day someone will teach you some manners since you cannot keep your comments on subject because your lack of wrestling knowledge is as pathetic as your athletic prowess so you stoop to making personal attacks on someone who would obliterate you if you had the cahones to run that pie hole in person.

Great tournament nooo great kids and wrestling and some good people scattered about yes .

GREAT TOURNAMENTS are not ran by conniving dirty bias people .

  5. Thoughts... .another sham of a bias tournament ran by Ohio clowns who try to manipulate outcomes by denying teams and kids entry .then Insulting  The state of Kentucky and all its wrestlers by modifying it's seed Criteria to further indulge it's own arrogance and back patting while Teams and coaches from ky who enter bow down and emasculate themselves without a word because they doubt their own worth and haven't the guts to speak up or say no so they allow themselves their kids and their state to be lowered beyond the worth of other states .Just my thoughts ,The thoughts of someone who doesn't mind speaking the truth ...of course it matters more to some than others I have seen Jr High kids who have and could walk through it and freshman who embarrassed the field .

  6. I do not know what Carr or Marinelli did this year at 32 last year Carr did not win and I'm not sure he placed .

I WAS JUST STATING FACTS PEOPLE ALWAYS POINT TO ONE PERSONS RESULTS WHEN IN FACT THERE ARE MULTIPLE AND MORE RESULTS TO STATE THE OPPOSITE POINT AT TIMES .

AND AS IS THE CASE IT'S ALWAYS THE FLAVOR OF THE DAY THAT IS BEING SERVED AT THE MOMENT AS I SAID SIMPLY COMPARE THE PARTICIPANTS AND IT'S NO COMPARISON

  7. JORDAN explained to me that his guys would get hammered in Fargo they specialize in Folk style and do not want to deviate far from that path .

Take each state allow the top two guys in each weight then have a few regions around the Country  that allow the top three and that's what you get at Fargo with a few petitioners thrown in.

Iron man has a lot of top teams but with a lot of lower level wrestlers many of which could NEVER even make it to Fargo or would not be allowed in SR nationals at NHSCAS AS THERE IS CRITERIA it's not a minefield like Fargo usually although now and again you get a loaded class .I have seen time after time Iron Man champs get smoked at Fargo .Evan Silver ,Dijulius and others .It works both ways .Except a lot of top High School kids straight up are scared of Freestyle Greco

And I have been to all of them and had my son's in them As an incoming freshman One placed fifth as a first yr cadet in Fargo then fourth as a fresh in Iron man a few months later in a class that was tougher than any I have ever seen there Evan silver .Cisneros .Guilibon.Keener .Joey Dance .Stephen Myers and more .Silver won .then DNP at Fargo soon winning arguably the toughest class imaginable at Iron man then getting shut out at Fargo just like Johnny D.Nothing compares to Fargo .

AND AT NHSCAS you see a Sr class in one weight that features Jden Cox vs HAINES .AND A SOPHOMORE CLASS WITH AN Austin vs a Chaconis and that's not counting the rest and the other two age groups get real Iron Man isn't half as loaded as NHSCAS .

THE SR CLASS AT NHSCAS ALONE IS BETTER THAN IRON MAN .

100% agree. I have been to them all. Had two boys wrestle. We hit Beast, IM, Powerade, NHSCA,....I traveled w/ their school to Clash. You name it (have not hit Flo yet). For in season my money is on IM. Hard to compare to the out of season events. Many top guys don't go. Sure, the sheer #s can be greater, but oftentimes not nearly as deep. Hard to compare GR/FS with Folk. Most all guys practice GR/FS for a few weeks and thats it. For example, no Graham wrestlers hit these events. How many successful Fargo wrestlers have left IM emptyhanded? Happens every year.

IM weighs heavily in crowning a team national championship as it should.

The beauty here is that we have so many great events. They all shine in their own way. With all that said, find a way to go to Clash. Best team tournament. Very well run.

The same can be said Both ways .I saw cadet AAs from Fargo in finals this year at Iron man and numerous Fargo AAs placed higher at iron man than Fargo like Shults a Fargo cadet at finals of 220 and Mansur Malick a Fargo 220 placed high at hvy.

NO WHERE NEAR AS MANY NATIONALLY RANKED GUYS AT IRON COMPARED TO FARGO AND THE GRAHAM GUYS DO NOT GO BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT PROFICIENT AT THOSE STYLES ,That's why Bo Jordan got demolished in his first attempts at those styles in college .And Cortez wrestled for Graham and did Fargo but he was the exception along with Taylor.Borh 220 finalists s at Iron man wrestled Fargo and neither won not even in cadet . Soooooo Fargo is tougher if you are comparing placings .

TAKE A 4X  STATE CHAMP AND IRON MAN GUY LIKE JOHNNY Dijulius 4 tries at Fargo 0 placings in any style .

Anyone who thinks iron man is as tough as Fargo or NHSCA knows very little about the sport or its athletes and goes off of heresay and hype .In season. It is probably the toughest but seeing guys like Carr and Marinelli lose at super 32 and top guys fall at Flo Iron Man is not  tougher than those two either .

It would be easy to compare the # of ranked guys in each but of course that's to simple

  9. I wouldn't argue Iron man being the best in season on most occasions .

BUT I would put NHSCA far ahead of it in talent and numbers .With 4 classes some with more competitors ranked and not in each weight class in each age division  than in some classes at Iron man with all age classes combined it doesn't really compare .I saw some classes in just the SR division at NHSCA with more numbers and more ranked kids than Iron Man had and that's without the other 3 grade levels .Flo and Super 32 bigger venues more numbers and a wider range of kids from different states and while FLO does not have the numbers of NHSCA it is a first class event nothing else like it in the sport .

As far as in season or out of season goes that is true but as has been proven the Iron Man is not open to everyone even those whose states allow it .

Having been to them all NHSCA has the bigger event more and better talent and History .Flo is on a different level event wise and has super talent .Iron Man has a High School super pumped up feel in a close quarters facility .Super 32 has a ton of talent ran by a bunch of crooks pretty much the same as Iron Man

  10. TYLER looked as if he could have won the match and tournament easily had he pushed the pace earlier and the whole match leaving a judgment call up to the ref against an Ohio champ in an Ohio tournament while waiting to the last seconds to show how dominant you could be was a mistake .Wish we could have seen him wrestle out the rest of the tournament .Reminded me of Cox and Heflin from Ohio State 2 years ago at nationals with Heflin attempting to score late and just missing it .I think everyone is waiting to see when Tyler just comes out and attacks the whole match because we all know it will be incredible .

  11. I would say Folk style it's probably the fourth toughest behind NHSCA Flo and super 32 .With Fargo being the #1 easily and Fila right behind Fargo or somewhere in the mix .You could break it down with some doing better and others worse in each tournament but numbers and rankings tell the story much better than anyone's opinions .

SAW once again why Fargo and freestyle GRECO is so important as time after time I saw competitors in those styles doing well this weekend .

Iron man is totally lopsided with Ohio kids .Super 32 seems lopsided with east coast PA kids .Flow although in PA had a nice mix with maybe an east coast pa majority  Fargo has kids from all over usually an ill Midwest type majority but with classes and caliber that far exceeds an Iron man field that had no class exceeding 36 and most at 32 or under and most classes predominantly try Ohio kids

East coast guys would argue for Beast of the East and Some could say Powerade as well with Powerade being up there with it in my opinion .Midwest guys would say Cheese head .

If you looked at numbers of competitors  as well as number of ranked kids NHSCAs  would far exceed Iron Man as for Flo not the numbers as NHSCA but for flair alone it's one of a kind best facilities best coverage best awards and strives to be the best and bring the best to put on a show like no other for the fans of the sport and their own Glory of course .

  12. Could be I am not sure of who is where and how teams have grown in the last year it still seems a bit of a stretch to me as If I had to guess WV would probably have forfeits and CC would get bonus here and there as well .And Campbell still has a handfull of upper level kids left and another handfull adove average .I would like to see the Dual .CAMPBELL placed higher at the rumble and I think would separate even more in a bigger tournament and coukd possibly swing back in a very big tournament ,who knows it all depends on the # and caliber of top studs .I know that is not the same as a dual but a smaller tournament result is a better indication of how a team would do in a Dual .

I think WV is small school and I'm not even sure it's in CC region for state dual qualifier but it would be fun to see .

No arguing WV has improved greatly the last few years it will be interesting to see where they are at in a few years when the age of the Jones and the current Smith Roth Moore era is past .

Instead of saying "I could" would it not be better to say "I did" ?

OH I did with the ones I had control of and I would and could gladly any day given the chance .

It's easy to pick up a bunch of studs already throw them together and look like a great coach .

Much different doing it from scratch but much more rewarding.

  14. CAMPBELL COUNTY'S Austin Myers takes seventh at the Nittany lion open .Seven matches on the day he gets a win over a Princeton wrestler to start the day then takes a 4 to 3 loss comes back fires off 3 wins then loses in ot on accumulative riding time and comes back to beat the guy he lost to in his second match 3 to 1 and get the win .

A LOT OF INJURY DEFAULTS AND INTERESTING RESULTS The Princeton wrestler Austin beat in his first match Majored Andrew Dunn to eliminate him from the tournament Dunn was the PA heavyweight state Champ Austin lost to in ot the week of last year's state tournament at the Dapper Dan in PA .

NOT A GREAT WEEK BUT A LOT OF WORK AND IT IS THE 3RD OPEN HE HAS PLACED IN THIS YEAR .

  15. I THINK Austin could start he came back after his loss last week won five straight and pinned Bunce in the first after getting a 4 to 1 lead advantage And Bunce won The Lou  Parisi open this week with WVs Starter taking fifth there GEURNICK WHO BEAT AUSTIN MFF OUT to sixth there .Hard to say I hope he red shirts like to see him a little bigger a little  stronger and in better shape for the heavies a big jump from 220 H'S to 285 College although he threw some 280 + guys with huge height advantage around a bit last week .
